Elounda Mare Relais & Châteaux Hotel features luxurious accommodation with spectacular views over Mirabello Bay. It offers top quality restaurants, along with a variety of leisure activities. The spacious, whitewashed rooms and suites are elegantly decorated in soft tones creating a serene atmosphere. The bungalows are surrounded by bougainvillea-filled courtyards and include private swimming pools. The Six Senses Spa, situated in the sister property Porto Elouda Golf & Spa at 500 metres, spreads over 2,200-m² state-of-the-art facilities including a hammam and a sauna, and offers a wide range of revitalizing treatments. Among others guests can pamper themselves with massage therapies, ayurveda aromatherapy and facial treatments. Elounda Mare Relais & Châteaux Hotel features a large outdoor pool, as well as a private sandy, Blue Flag beach, where sun-loungers and umbrellas are provided free of charge. There is also an AstroTurf tennis court with instructors and a gym.The Sea Sports Centre offers water skiing and scuba diving lessons. Other water sports such as canoeing, wake boarding and wind surfing are available. A rich buffet breakfast is served at the Deck restaurant with its sea-view veranda. The Yacht Club offers fish specialties by the beach, while the Old Mill restaurant specializes in Cretan gourmet cuisine. A beach bar is also available. Other Elounda Mare facilities include a children’s entertainment centre at the sister property, a 9-hole golf course also at the sister property, and a shopping arcade. Free private on-site parking is possible, while free transport within the hotel is also provided. Free shuttle to the sister property is also provided.

“A magical place of peace and beauty, with exceptional staff”
This was my second stay at Elounda Mare. I was there for the first time last September and loved it so much that I returned at the first opportunity I got. It is a place of beauty, calm, tranquillity, and charm, with gorgeous views of Mirabello Bay and the Lassithi Mountains in the distance. Arguably, this hotel has the best location in Elounda: it is right on the shoreline and perfectly positioned to take in the view. Since there are no rooms with only a side sea view, or views of the back of the hotel, everyone gets to enjoy it. The garden is meticulously maintained, the grass is always green, and everything is very thoughtfully laid out, with plenty of space. You never get the feeling of being squeezed into cookie-cutter boxes or being too close to your neighbours. The rooms in the main building are decorated in a traditional style rather than modern minimalism, which gives them real character and charm. The staff are amazing and exceptionally attentive to your needs and wishes. You immediately feel welcomed, as if you were family or an old friend visiting. Everything is very clean, the food in the restaurants is excellent — check the menus online — and the lobby is spacious, with a great bar and fantastic barmen. The above might come across as an advertisement, but I assure you it is not. If you give it a try, you too might be enchanted by the magic of this place and its warm hospitality. You will soon understand why so many guests keep returning year after year.

Elounda Mare offers all the elements for an unforgettable stay : the beautiful setting, the gardens, the confort of the rooms and above all the exceptional staff, which makes you feel you're part of a family. Some might argue that the decoration of the rooms is somewhat outdated, but that’s exactly what makes the charm of this place and the reason why people tend to come back, year after year, and that’s exactly what we’ll do. All in all a wonderful experience.

Amazing breakfast . Nothing too much trouble throughout our stay. Family of 6 - children age ranges 13-24. Great location between Elounda town and Agios Nikolaus . Therefore easy to visit both for dinner in evening for some variety. Watesports on site at the 2 beaches .

Brilliant location 20 minute walk from Elounda, facilities were excellent and the staff were very friendly. We were able to get the shuttle boat over to their neighbouring peninsula hotel for lunch too. Awesome breakfast too!
