I recently stayed at a holiday cottage that was just a bit more than a year old. Here's a breakdown of my experience: Positives: Cleanliness: The cottage was impeccably clean, making our stay comfortable and pleasant. Facilities: The Finnish sauna was a great addition, providing a relaxing experience after each day of activities. Staff: The reception staff at the campsite were exceptional. They made our stay truly enjoyable by always being friendly, helpful, and responsive to our questions. They even arranged an e-bike rental for me for three days, which was a fantastic experience. Heat Pump: During our stay, the weather was mostly extremely hot (+33-35°C), but the heat pump cooling function in the cottage worked excellently, keeping the interior cool and comfortable. Local Area: Village Amenities: The village is very small, with no substantial supermarket and not much to do. However, if you are an avid hiker, you'll find many trails nearby that offer beautiful routes. The area is also great for mountain e-biking. In summary, the cottage provided a mixed experience. The cleanliness, sauna, friendly staff, and efficient heat pump were highlights, but the noise from the main road and the limited sleeping arrangements were drawbacks.

Excellent weekend stay, would be a great base camp for a week's worth of exploring Sumava on a bike or on foot!
