“Nice place to stay, but too expensive for what it offers”

Very nice and kind hosts. 2 rooms with a kitchen and bathroom, space outside to relax and a tiny pool.

We enjoyed the private pool and the terrace with the nice view of the sea and the monastery

Beautiful house with tonnes of atmosphere in good location near Elafonisi and some other beaches. Comfortable and spacious.

“Amazing…”

The country house was beautiful and traditional with plenty of space. The outside area was amazing with swimming pool, sun loungers, table chairs etc. incredible views all around of mountains, greenery and the sea. Friendly cats came to greet us everyday. The location is perfect if you want peace & tranquility and nature. The hosts are lovely people & gave us walking directions to get to two local little coves which were stunning & not touristy. Since neither of us drove they were very kind to drop us off to elafonissi beach & picked us up afterwards. We are thoroughly grateful for their hospitality. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend this place.

Perfect location, 5 min drive from Elafonisi and 2 min from Aspri Limni. Spacious rooms quiet and a very friendly host.

“Magnificent family vacation”

The villa was spacious with breathtaking views in all directions - with the 360 degree view from the roof terrace as an excellent spot to view the sunset. Our host Maria was very friendly and helpful and greeted us upon our arrival. The villa was very clean and included everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The neighborhood was peaceful and rural, but with several great restaurants and a supermarket a short walk away.

“Dream location in Efalonisi”

Dream location for a holiday in Efalonisi, it was truly the best place we stayed in Crete. We were into the white cottage, surrounded by beautiful olive trees and close to all the beach places. In the house there was everything. The swimming pool was great. Would definitely come back here.

“Relaxing place to stay for a family of 4, great pool and amazing coastal/mountain views.”

Location really good - close to the main resort beaches, but also some much quieter coastal lagoons. 10 minutes walk to nearest shops and restaurants. Pool was great, as was the views from the multiple balconies on the property. Bieng able to borrow bikes an unexpected bonus. Quite breezy!

“Gem of a place”

We stayed at Villa Irida a 2 bed ground floor apartment with a private pool overlooking the wonderful mountain view and patio with the Monastery and sea view. Apartment has a rustic touch which is charming. All facilities like oven, washing machine, hob are there. We had a wonderful time in the pool. There is enough patio chairs and sunbeds to chill around. Walkable by 10 mins is Mini Market/Taverna/Pizzeria. The famous Elafonisi Beach is just 10 min drive away. And White Lake beach which was a hidden gem less than 5 mins away by car. Best of all was how Maria took care of us for every small thing and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was brilliant!

We had the white cottage and it was amazing, brand new, well equipped. With a small pool next to it. Highly recommended, when I come around will definitely check if this is available. Maria was very friendly and helpful.

“Terrible - watch out, it's a scam!”

Nothing, we left the apartment after 30 minutes already - no way we would spend a night there. The booking.com description and images are a scam, but the landlord insists that it's all correct. We had to argue quite a bit to at least get a part of our money back. Be careful, Villa Evenos is a 3-story building (with 2 further cottages just added in front of the building). So if you book something you never book the entire house but always a flat. The owner can call them however she wants to, I don't care... but don't call an apartment "Irida Country House" - since it's not a house but a dark apartment in the basement. It's just to confuse people so that they're willing to spend so much money on this poor accommodation.

“Perfect location, great view, a stone’s throw from Elafonisi”

location is perfect and the rooms are quiet, and extremely cleaned, well equipped with everything one may need. Our accommodation was surrounded by olive trees, and had a beautiful porch with dining wooden table.
