“Over all at a great stay at Casa Mate Beachfront.”

I moved to the more basic room, my last day as the superior beach front property was not available. The room met my requirements as an individual traveller traveller and represented a good value cheaper alternative to my previous room .

The location of the property is excellent right on the beach . The property is good for a beach hut , with air conditioning,, large comfortable bed private bathroom and good walk in shower, with hot water always available.. There is a small private “ plunge pool” to use to cool down for a few mins .Easy to walk into town centre Staff helpfully.

Wifi was bad in the room, but good in the restaurant. Hey boss, just need to buy a rooter.

Amazing view from the cabins on the top floor! Absolutely worth it. The rooms are stylishly decorated, giving rustic beach vibes.

“The worst room I have ever stayed in - other than HMP Wandsworth”

If you find yourself in a room with no TV, no fridge, no coffee making facilities with bare unfinished walls and the most rudimentary shower and toilet you are are probably serving a prison sentence. And that is certainly what it felt like at Casa Mate. The room is vile - with nasty sticks of furniture including a falling down unit obviously designed for somewhere else. I can only guess how this place has ever got a positive review. The room has a strong smell of of sewage too and I found reading honest reviews that this same room was recently flooded with 15 inches of 'toilet overflow.' Looking at the pictures on that review they changed nothing after the deluge Simply disgusting.

The owner is an excellent and helpful host. And the rest of the staff a delight. Food was next level. Get the ceviche!!!

The owner is a very nice, warm person who adores dogs. He allowed us to check in early and also to have late check out. All the staff working there is súper nice. The cabaña with ocean view is a fantastic choice. So romantic but also tasteful. We had a wonderful time.

Location is perfect, right on the beach, very quiet, I lost a silver earring and the lovely staff found it and came to find me!

The location of the property and our room was the best, with the outlook and proximity to the beach. The breakfast (included) was really great and the staff at the resteraunt were so lovely even though there was a language barrier with most of the staff. The rooms were simple but amazing spaces to enjoy the Oceanside.

Very relaxed stay at a very nice location. The town of El Cuyo has a surfer's veel over it and there are many gems to be found, including restaurants. Also, Casa Mate beachfront Cabanas was such a gem, with a very friendly and supportive manager Hector and a good kitchen staff.
