The location is unreal, right on the beach front with a stunning view of the sunset. I love garden of the property too, super chill with a nice amount of hammocks!

My boyfriend stayed there and he said that everything was okay! I quote his words: "de película la verdad, un pedacito de paraíso en oriente". I hope to visit it one day too! :)

“Shabby surf shack on beautiful beach”

The location is so beautiful. It’s on the most beautiful beach where you can see sunrise and sunset. The garden leading onto the beach is lovely, peaceful, hammocks & palm tree shade to chill in. I felt very relaxed there. You can hear the ocean from your room. We got a last minute deal and had a triple room. It’s massive and lots of natural light, so we lucked out. Got a last minute discount at 30% off Car is ideal, 5 mins drive from town and a few mins from Playa Flores, however the beach that Sugar Loaf is on is much nicer. Owner was able to offer some helpful advice with waves and running routes.

Super beautiful surroundings, right at the beach (almost empty at all times), perfect place to recharge your batteries!! Nothing nearby but easy to hitchhike to El Cuco/surf spots. Beds were comfortable but rest of the facilities very “simple”, f.ex. no hand soap, lots of mosquitoes in the room and bathroom - but to be expected.

“Great sunsets, easy access to the beach and chilled vibes”

What a beautiful location, I love the whole vibe of this place. The setting is absolutely stunning, the accommodation is simple and very comfortable, the hosts are so helpful and really good people, had everything I needed. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Caoitlin is very friendly and helpful, and easy to contact. The view is amazing. You have direct access to the beach. Very nice common areas. You are out in nature.

“Worst experience in El Salvador”

No breakfast at the place, there is a kitchen where you have the chance to prepare breakfast but it’s super dirty… all the pots, pans, and things for cook are in nasty condition .

We loved our stay here! It’s the perfect oasis to chill out, surf, read and fall asleep in hammocks. Would definitely recommend for any backpacker wanting a bit of a rest. The only thing is that it’s really difficult to get to and from so bring groceries (there are no restaurants or proper shops around) and expect to park up for a while

“The hidden gem”

Come as a guest, leave as a friend. That could be the motto at Sugarloaf. Cata and Ramon are super hosts who make you feel at home instantly. If you look for a boutique fancy hotel, don't come here. At Sugarloaf, feel free to be you, sharing stories, beers and meals, enjoying a bonefire on the beach. That was a highlight in our Latino trip.

I had a fantastic stay at Sugarloaf! A lovely spot right on the beach, perfect for surfing and a relaxing stay. The owners are super friendly and helpful. They went the extra mile to ensure that I had a great stay. I only spent 2 nights there but could definitely have stayed much longer.

“Pura calidad”

This is an absolute gem of a spot!! Rooms, bathrooms, living area, kitchen are all fantastic. Clean, spacious, organized, accesible…everything you may need is available. Let alone you’re a 10 second walk to a 4ish kilometer beach that’s nearly completely empty…unbelievable! Loved my stay here!!
