Very cosy; great location to amenities in town and walks etc (even if you didn’t have a car). Lots of information and personal touches (Laura had even made an orange cake to welcome us❤️). Hosts were extremely communicative by WhatsApp providing daily weather predictions and activity suggestions based on that. Hosts met us on site, both to welcome and to accept payment upon checkout. Highly recommended.

“Outstanding views& cozy atmosphere”

Beautiful setting in El Chalten with outstanding views from the house. Very cozy atmosphere inside, spotless clean and well kept and lots of information about the region and the hiking possibilities. We were welcomed with a homemade lemon cake by our lovely hosts. They speak English very good and had a lot of tipps for us and were very helpful. Don’t miss this gem when you travel to El Chalten

Stunning outlook. Cosy. Unique. Well equipped. Lovely couple Laura and Marcelo who own it formed a WhatsApp group with us before we arrived and gave us loads of useful information and were on hand to answer any questions. They greeted us with a home baked cake and lots of little treats and sourced walk g poles for us to borrow to walk up to Mount Fitzroy. Delightful!

We loved the location and the space we had. Plus, the communication with Laura and Marcelo was super easy. Laura was even so kind to bake us a cake. They are definitely the best hosts. And the view cannot be topped. Definitely worth a stay in El Chaltén.

The hosts Marcelo and Laura met me on arrival to hand over the keys and gave me a very warm welcome. Their great hospitality continued throughout, including weather and walk advice. The property is nicely positioned with great views and close to everything in El Chaltén. A very comfortable stay.

“A brilliant place to stay in El Chalten with the loveliest hosts ever!”

We'd give this place and the hosts higher ratings if we could. The apartment is off the main street by a couple of hundred metres - so quiet - but close to everything. Really well setup - with a kitchen, bathroom, some armchairs, and the bed on a mezzanine level. Plus a BBQ and outside chairs. We could look out the windows and see the river and the mountains. Off street parking. Fast Wifi. But the real highlight of staying here was the friendliness of the hosts Marcelo and Buyi. They met us with the keys, gave us a freshly baked cake, provided us with great tips for activities and dining - including a weather forecast and recommendation each morning for what to do each day. You can do all the local walks from the apartment. Fantastic place.

The warm welcome from the hosts and how excellent the communication was before and during the stay (and after!). The location was perfect with an amazing view of the mountains. The hosts had make us a lovely cake and gave us lots of great recommendations for local restaurants as well as all the information we needed for hikes etc. The house was cosy and had everything we could have asked for.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at La Ribeira. Laura and Marcelo are amazing hosts. They gave us a warm welcome upon our arrival and kept in touch during our stay (6 nights) to send us valuable tour information, restaurant recommendation and weather report. In times of self-check-in, it was great to have such great hosts. The house was extremely well organized and tidy. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The view from the living room is awesome and the house is lovely decorated. The location is perfect. Just a few steps to bars, restaurants and market. After a long day of hiking, this convenient location is perfect.

Everything. It was a lovely apartment with a nice view, quiet but very convenient. The hosts, Laura and Marcelo, were wonderful - friendly, kind, helpful. If I'm back in El Chalten I will defintely choose La Ribera again.

Maria Laura and Marcelo were lovely, welcoming hosts, who gave us a lot of information about the area and walks etc and kept in touch with us throughout our stay by WhatsApp. La Ribera is a lovely traditional, characterful house in a beautiful location in wonderful El Chalten. It was warm, comfortable and peaceful but just a short walk from shops, bars and restaurants as well as trails in Los Glaciares National Park The views from the house were just amazing in the changing light and weather conditions. We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at La Ribera.
