Very helpful staff at the reception, good location and clean rooms.

Overall a great base for exploring el Chalten. Rooms were basic but really comfortable, clean and spacious. The location is fairly close to the bus station towards the beginning of town. It’s a ~15min walk to the other end of town where the trails for el Chalten/Fitzroy start.

Everything, absolutely AMAZING hotel, service and breakfast food. One day the zip of my pants broke and I asked the people in charge of the hotel reception to take a look at it, they were extremely kind towards me and even two people tried to fix the zip for me. 100% recommended! 🔝👌

“Comfortable place to enjoy a peaceful stay”

This spacious, airy hosteria is a five-minute walk from the El Chaltén bus terminal. Host Julian is fully at the guests' disposal and knows how to enrich your stay with interesting tips. The large rooms with matching bathrooms are clean and well-maintained. A simple but well-prepared breakfast (excluding fresh fruit and yogurt) can be enjoyed in a pleasant common area with a small seating area. Hostería Vertical Lodge is also near a supermarket, the town center, and the starting point for many hikes in Los Glaciares National Park. A pleasant, comfortable place to enjoy a peaceful stay during the winter months.

Close to bus station, very clean. We wanted to have breakfast earlier because of the trekking and they allowed us to. no internet in the room, no tv, no fridge . generally the are has wifi issues and comparing to the prices of the area, was ok. friendly staff

“Good choice in El Chalten”

Our room was very big, clean and warm. It was great to have the lounge area by the reception. Breakfast was surprisingly good - we were expecting boring toast and jam, it was much better. On the day of our departure the staff was only setting up breakfast but we asked if we can already have something and they agreed - big plus. No problem with parking. I'd recommend this place for anyone going to Patagonia. We also got a great restaurant recommendation, which was affordable as for El Chalten - also a plus!

“Couldn't wait to move out!”

The room was dark and the window faced another window some 2 to 3 meters away. It's really one step up from a backpacker hostel. Way over priced. We moved to another place, equally central where for $50 more we have a much nicer, brighter, and airier room with windows overlooking the city. The staff speak fluent English and are friendly and warm. At the Vertical Hotel, there was no English, the staff were not friendly, all they cared about was the check out time. The current hotel has a sauna and jacuzzi available to residents and in room WiFi. We were welcomed with a drink of our choice. None of these are true of the Vertical Hotel. If your budget permits going slightly higher, from US$ 150 to 200, I'd choose something else.

The location is perfect for the ones arriving at El Chaltén by bus, it's just a five-minute walk from the station. Our bedroom and bathroom were very comfortable. Breakfast is simple but good enough.

Location of hotel is very close to the bus station. The staff were very friendly, helpful and always smiling! The room had great heating and the shower was hot and powerful. Breakfast included cereal, toast, meats, cheese, hot drinks, cakes etc.

Nice place to stay near the river
