“Brilliant host in a beautiful location”

Terrific stay at this property. Facilities are all decent, and the bed was especially comfortable. The location is in a quiet, picturesque spot just next to the lake. It’s short walk into the main part of town, but there’s also a delicious restaurant just a two minute walk away - La Cantina. The highlight was definitely the host Guillermo, he went above and beyond for us during our stay, and he’s one of the kindest people you’ll come across. I would recommend staying here every time!

Beautiful and quiet place between the coast (and nice sunset bars) and town (great restaurants and cute shops). The nicest man in the world runs the place.

“Very friendly and calm place to stay in El Calafate”

We didn't make it to eat all the medialunas available there. The location is very calm, and the host is very friendly. We felt at home and couldn't be more satisfied, and we strongly recommend the location.

A wonderful welcome to an enjoyable stay. A lovely location close to the lake and not too far from main street in El Calafate. Beautiful garden and comfortable cabins/accommodation. Great breakfasts. Our host, Guillermo, was very friendly and helpful. A real treat to be able to stay here....one our best accommodation stays.Would also be good for families with a great lakeside playground not far away. Nature reserve close by.

“Excellent host and location”

Guillermo, the host and owner of Cabanas de Nene, couldn’t be more helpful. His mission is to ensure that all his guests have a wonderful stay in El Calafate, giving advice about local trips and even preparing breakfast to suit early starts. The accommodation is comfortable and homely, but spotless, with cleaners coming in daily. Cabanas is located right by the lake, with an excellent restaurant close by (El Cucharon) and a 10-15 walk into the main town for a wide range of eateries.

Really cosy cabin that was cleaned every day. Guillermo was incredibly helpful and kind, always willing to help and incredibly approachable and accommodating. The apartment is very near the lake where you can go for a walk and an easy walk into town.

Guillermo was a warm and helpful host and the rental cabin was spacious, clean, and within easy walkable access to restaurants.

A high quality apartment with all facilities only 5 minutes walk from the bird reserve and 3 minutes from an excellent restaurant El Cucharon. The owner is a really nice person who will help with anything. It’s a five minute taxi ride from town and you are out in nature away from the crowds.
