“Beautiful views but noisier than expected”

The views from the room and lobby are really beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was pretty good. The hotel is quite far from the centre of Calafate but it's still walkable (if you don't mind dogs accompanying you and chasing cars on the way) or the hotel called us a taxi a couple of times, which was very reasonable.

Very disappointing stay. Upon arrival around 7 PM, the receptionist (initially friendly) recommended that we have dinner at the hotel restaurant. After a long day, this seemed convenient. However, once seated, we were told that only two main courses were available and that all appetizers were unavailable. This was not communicated beforehand. We even tried to order a starter, only to hear moments later that it was no longer available. Had we known this in advance, we would have gone elsewhere, but by then we had already ordered drinks. The food itself was fine, but the overall experience was poor. When we mentioned this at reception, the same staff member responded in a dismissive and uninterested way. Later that evening (around 10–10:30 PM), we tried to take a shower, but there was no hot water. After contacting reception, we were told to wait 20 minutes due to possible high usage, which seemed strange given the late hour. Even after waiting, the water was still cold. The next morning, the same issue occurred again. The room itself was also not properly equipped for the cold temperatures. There were no blankets or duvets, only a thin sheet, which made sleeping very uncomfortable, especially with outside temperatures around freezing. On top of that, the noise levels were unacceptable. Our room seemed to be located below the restaurant, and we could clearly hear every footstep and conversation. Around 00:40 AM, the noise became extreme, with staff loudly talking, shouting, and laughing in the hallway/restaurant area. This completely disrupted our sleep. We even have an audio recording of this. Overall, a very disappointing experience due to poor communication, lack of basic facilities (like hot water and proper bedding), and excessive noise. Definitely not what you expect when booking a hotel.

“Great comfortable hotel”

The hotel is great overall, small but very nice. A bit outside the city so a rental car is ideal. The suite was clean and very spacious. The view was pretty, overlooking Lago Argentino. The jacuzzi is amazing! Breakfast limited but exactly what you need to start the day.

The location is outstanding, and the view of the lake is fantastic—especially when you are in the opulently furnished lounge area within the main building. All the staff members are very friendly, informative, and helpful, and they speak excellent English. The breakfast was good, offering a fine selection. Our room (Moreno) was very well-appointed, and the large king-size bed (which truly is king-size) was very comfortable. The room, the main building, and the entire grounds are meticulously maintained and very clean. We definitely recommend this accommodation!

A very pleasant apartment with a well-equipped kitchenette. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was good, with a nice selection and fresh pieces of fruit. We also used the hot tub, which we had all to ourselves. It had a pleasant view.

The views were incredible, specially from the common areas. Being up on a hill, sunset and sunrise were truly magical and peaceful. The staff was kind and helpful.
