An amazing stay!!! The location is ideal: next to Tenorio Park. The staff is very friendly. The nighttime frog-spotting excursion with David will remain one of my best memories of Costa Rica

Great location with friendly and helpful family who run the cabins - nothing was too much trouble for them. On site restaurant food very good - especially their fish special from their own ponds. Beautiful gardens with ponds you can row around on their small rowing boat. On site Horse riding stable.

Very comfortable bungalow: large bedroom and bathroom, quality materials (wood), good wifi, extra terrace to relax. Very close to the entrance of Tenorio National Park. We also enjoyed a very good dinner.

Really nice and peaceful place, the owner was friendly enough to even show us some treefrogs in the evening! :)

“Great stay !”

Great place ! The lagoon is beautiful and you can see colorful birds there in the morning. There are plenty of frogs at night ! The cabin was clean and nice, great bathroom too. There was a fridge in the room which is a plus (and a TV we didn’t use). The place is super close to the Tenerio National Park. There is a restaurant in the hostel which avoids going around at night or early in the morning. Specialty is the local fish they cook freshly.

“Horseback riding to Rio Celeste and fresh tilapia”

David ( the owner) and everyone else there were very polite and friendly. We did horseback riding with David and went to Rio Celeste through the property of his family. It was very authentic and enjoyable regardless of the rain. The cabins are 5 min drive from Park Volcano Tenorio. The tilapia fish in the restaurant ( which comes from the little ponds near by the cabins) was delicious. David also did a short night tour for frogs with us - around the property, which was fun. I think it is really worth supporting small entrepreneurs like him and staying there

Very beautiful garden with a lot of frogs and birds. Good location close to national park Tenorio, swimming spot Rio Celeste, tubing and other activities. Very friendly staff. We really enjoyed the looking for frogs in the evening. On site restaurant is very convenient and the food is good. Cute cabaña with comfortable beds, mosquito nets and good shower.

We really liked Cabanas Los Laguitaos. Nicely located closed to Tenorio park. Betty and David were incredibly nice and helpful and the breakfast delicious. David’s horse riding tour was really a highlight of our stay in Costa Rica. We highly recommend!

“Great place and friendly staff”

It was a very rustic chalet, a perfect match for the environment there. Staff was very friendly and we felt very much welcome, they are all very kind. We hear an animal symphony even in the morning, feeling an incredible connection with nature. The entrance is a restaurant, where we can have a very nice and typical breakfast. We felt like staying for longer time and will try to be back when we decide to come again to Costa Rica.

It was the most beautiful place we slept during our journey in Costa Rica, Their garden is fantastic, everything was perfect.

“Authentic experience.”

Breakfast was authentic Costa Rican fare and kept us full until dinner. The variety of birds on the property was amazing. The grounds were impeccably kept and the cabina was spotless.

Located near wonderful nature reserves and wildlife sanctuaries. Unusual accommodation set around man-made pond. Rudimentary facilities - just as expected. Mosquito net! Very friendly owners, little English. Horses in stable, all very agricultural. And good breakfast too.

“Beautiful location and nice bungalow stay”

Unique and fun stay, very conveniently located close to the National Park entrance. David and the woman running the place were so nice and accommodating, and offered very tasty food. Enjoyed the stay and would do so again.

The property is lovely and in a quiet area right in the middle of the national park. Perfect location if you are going to see Rio Celeste. The little hut was comfortable and had everything we needed. The frogs are loud at night in case that bothers you. Breakfast was delicious and custom made. Parking is an available and there is a restaurant as well as a mini mart close by.
