Really had the best time here, the hostel is easy to find and its in the centre of the city 🩷 10 minutes walk straight down from the bus station. Our room was next to the river and we fed ducks every morning😍

No breakfast is served when I was there but its fine since you have a kitchen and Willys grocery store 5 mins away by walking. Easy check in, you have to call them and they'll give you a code to access your key.

The house is lovely, in the middle of the old city. The staff is very nice and let us arrive earlier and leave later than expected : we really appreciated that ! Also, the room was very comfortable and we had a beautiful view ! We had a great time !

Central location. Did not meet any staff but they responded to phone calls. ground floor room was great. Very clean and great view to garden and canal. Fantastic location in old town. Good kitchen and clean shared bathrooms.

The location, the management the decoration

Very good location, within walking distance of the main shopping street and several hiking routes. The building is a cultural monument, and has all the necessary amenities for a short stay, assuming you're mostly into going out in nature. Good Wi-Fi and sufficient kitchen equipment for light cooking.

This hostel is an ideal base for exploring this picturesque town. We stayed in room number 2, which had two comfortable single beds, a desk and chairs with a view of the canal. The shared bathroom facilities along the corridors were clean and well-lit, and the kitchen was well-equipped with all the appliances you’d need to prepare meals, including a table for dining. If you prefer to cook your own food, this setup is very convenient. We appreciated how easy it was to access the keys through the key box system, which made check-in hassle-free. We opted for bed linen at an additional cost to avoid bringing our own, and this worked seamlessly. The pricing was reasonable, adding to the overall great value for money. It’s worth noting that there are two parts to the hostel—one in a historic building from the 1600s and another in a little more modern structure. Both options have their own charm, depending on what you’re looking for. The older one has a fireplace and sitting area. Overall, Vandrarhemmet Gästgivargården is a delightful and affordable place to stay, with excellent cleanliness and facilities. Highly recommended for those visiting Eksjö on a budget!

Right in the heart of Eksjö. Nice room with extremely comfy beds. Shared kitchen was fine, but if there would’ve been more people it would’ve been too small for sure.
