The accommodation was incredibly beautiful, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and green meadows with cute horses. The hostel was very cozy, and the family running it was always available, welcoming and friendly. I could come back here again and again 🥰

“Serenity and nature”
The most amazing view all around. Nice old house in its original state, just painted wood. We were transferred to another room because of my length. Thanx Laufey! Elizabeth showed us the sheep farm and we had the pleasure of being present during the birth of a lamb. Beautiful experience. Thank you Elizabeth! We wish we had booked another night at the farm. We would have enjoyed the land, the bird sounds and the relaxed atmosphere. And last, but not least, thank you dog Ask for your welcoming attitude and cuddle time.

Personally one of the best experiences in Iceland. . The house is very beautiful, the area isolated and calm. The stuff was helpful and kind.

The kitchen was fully equipped. The staff (the host's aunt) and the animal mangers (a lovely cat and a lovely dog) were all very friendly and welcoming (Don't worry if you are afraid of animals, they are not allowed in the building where you will be staying in). The animal managers even came to say goodbye to us!

“Best place we stayed in Iceland!”
This was hands down the best place we stayed in Iceland. The hostel is in an old farmhouse surrounded by nature, and everything was super clean and organized. It felt just like grandma's house. It had that real hostel vibe where guests actually engaged with each other in the common areas—something you don't find much anymore. We also did a horseback riding tour that far exceeded expectations. Out of all our activities in Iceland—glacier walks, zodiac tours, etc.—this was probably our favorite. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable; my 9-year-old daughter and I learned so much about horses, the farm itself, and Iceland's history and natural environment. We should have booked the 4-hour ride! Thanks for everything!

“Magical, breathtaking and surreal.”
This place is fantastic. It offers a quintessential Icelandic experience: it's an old farm that's been adapted to accommodate guests, simultaneously retaining nearly a hundred years of history. The surroundings are surreal, with fog or mist, birds screeching and circling around, horses and sheep roaming about and finally - absolute silence. It's so remote and yet close to the ocean, to the glacial rivers, to the mountains. You can watch seals nearby. I can imagine spending more time here in the future; it's a dreamy experience that nearly becomes a time travel. I cannot overstate how magical this place felt. Recommended for all people seeking an authentic experience.

The farm is located in the most beautiful scenery and although one could say it's a bit isolated the location is just perfect for the purpose. The place is charming and genuine with tons of character and atmosphere. The best part however is definately the staff. The ladies of the house were extremely welcoming and lovely. We enjoyed our stay to the full and were so happy to have the chance for a ride with the amazing horses. Loved every bit of it.

“Horse heaven!”
Just an extraordinary experience - beautiful house to stay in and full of charm. Being on the farm was blissful with all the animals and so many birds. The setting on the estuary is magical. The horses were calm and unflappable, and the instruction was absolutely great. My son had his first riding experience here and it was the highlight of his holiday. We only stayed for one night but wished it could have been longer

“Nice house at quiet area, seals on the way”
Nice house with a touch of the past at remote location, perfect for people enjoying tranquility. Great vibe and it was nice meeting other guests in the kitchen area. Very clean until some of the guests got dirt on their shoes so bear in mind that the accommodation functions as a hostel and some things depend of other guests too. Driving the pebble road towards the house you can see lots of birds, sheep and finally horses, but the best is that you can see the seals, too!

“Cozy hostel in old traditional farmhouse”
Old farmhouse very comfortable and cozy. The cleanliness in rooms, toilets and kitchen is very good. The location is remote and not close to a town, which makes it a great opportunity to feel the lowlands of this region. The host is very friendly and encourages interaction between guests through the hostel features (large kitchen and gallery for eating together, library with board games and no WiFi to minimize internet surfing). Highly recommended!

The location is quite far from main road and 20 minutes gravel road but the place is great. I have been greed by black cat as soon as I arrive. Got the pinky room. The homestay complete with kitchen so I can cook my own meal
