A wonderful apartment in a great location. Spacious, bright, comfortable, has everything you'd need. Would most definitely return, over and over.

“Exceptional Stay!”

This apartment is truly exceptional - clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable bed, big bathroom, and has everything for a cosy and comfortable stay, including a fridge stocked with water and soft drinks. Check-in was easy and straightforward. Michel, the host, is friendly, and even though he can't speak much English, he was able to communicate with us the basic instructions. He has also prepared a binder with information in English. Parking was free on the street and we managed to get a spot in front of the house when we arrived at 5.30 pm. Location wise, it is 15 mins walk to the beach and 3 mins walk to the bus stop where you can take the free city buses. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are back in Dunkerque.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay there. Everything in the house is fresh, clean, and thoughtfully arranged — it really feels like a brand-new place, designed with care and attention to detail. The host is a truly exceptional person — polite, intelligent, and clearly someone with a lot of heart. You can feel how much he cares about his guests' comfort. He’s gone above and beyond to create a welcoming space, and it shows in all the little touches. There are plenty of brochures for museums and tourist maps available, along with business cards from local restaurants. We followed some of his recommendations and were not disappointed — each place we tried was excellent. We also loved the collection of board games, which made for some really fun and cozy evenings. It’s rare to find a place that combines such order, cleanliness, and warmth. Michel, thank you for a truly memorable stay!

“Superb place to stay”

Home Sweet Home is the perfect name for this accommodation. The apartment was fabulous, so big and spacious, and had everything we needed. The decor was stunning. It was a very comfortable apartment and only a 10 minute walk to the beach. There was a little supermarket 5 minutes walk away and also a chemist.

Great thought has gone into the design and furnishing of the flat, so although relatively small, it has everything you need. It was v. comfortable for two people. High quality mattress. A lot of space in the wardrobe. Kitchen was small but v functional. The bathtub was quite large and comfortable. There is even a washing machine. The local biscuits welcome back was a nice touch, as well as the availability of coffee-pods, enough for first few days. The host is extremely helpful. You can park for free on the street in front of the flat (usually free spaces, though harder in the evening).

“A real home from home”

Everything you needed, clean and comfortable. Location was excellent and Michel was the perfect host

Very nice appartement, includes everything you might need for a stay with two persons. The host is super friendly and is always helpful. Free parking is possible in the street, and we always got a parking space directly in front of the building. The street is very quiet, you wake up to the sound of seagulls.

We arranged a arrival time and Michel was there to show us in and introduce us to the facilities. Michel showed us around the accommodation pointing out the very helpful information folder. You will not need to bring towels as they were provided. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need too. He explained how far the seafront was and how to dispose of waste, recycling and so on, which was a two minute walk away. It is a very quiet location away from the main town centre, which is about 15 minute drive, or you could use the free bus service of Dunkerque. Parking is residential and free, you may not always get next to "Alice", but you will find a place to park. There are not too many restaurants nearby, however we shopped at Carrefour Market which is a 5 minute drive, has on site eateries and provides all need, and very good bargains, especially on Vin de France!
