“Pleasant stay in room in Victorian villa in Port Chalmers village”

The room is located on the ground floor of the owners' Victorian villa in the small port town of Port Chalmers. The owner told us it is one of the oldest houses in the village. The room is tastefully decorated with the owner's own artwork, which is for sale.

Everything we could have wished for and more - we couldn’t fault anything. Spacious room and bathroom was lovely.

Beautiful building in a very interesting location. We used it as a stopping place but could have easily stayed longer. Short drive to Aramoana beach which is gorgeous. 20 mins from Dunedin but feels very peaceful. Lots of nice touches in the room. We paid extra for breakfast in the room and were glad we had.

Very comfortable and short walk into town.

This was a great stay. Kirsten was very helpful with communication prior to check in, and was there to meet us when we checked in. The room has everything you need and was squeaky clean. Great location and very quiet area but a quick drive to the city. Spacious bathroom and good value for money.

Kirsten was lovely, very welcoming. A beautiful house that had lovingly been restored. The bathroom was bigger than my bedroom at home!

We were offered a warm welcome from the owner, and given some reccomendations of places for dinner. The old house is lovely and our room had everything we required, with a beautiful big bathroom. Very close to some shops and cafes, plus the port. Out from the main centre of Dunedin, however more relaxed and less busy which we liked. We definetly reccomend this lovely accomadation.

Large room, well appointed. Very comfortable large bed. Hot shower in a large bathroom. Great location, some historic buildings and stunning views nearby. Carey Bay hotel for excellent seafood. Great cafe and other options in Port Chalmers.
