The sea it’s just one step away. The Lodge is Very basic , but in the end it works well if you manage your expectations ( the island has no running water and just a couple of hours of electricity per day, but there is internet coverage with PH SIM card). The lodge was recently equipped with small showers with water from a tank, so you can even get a shower. The staff is quite friendly

I loved staying here. Fantastic location overlooking the beach. The rooms are fairly basic but that is part of the charm. Great food. Pinky the manager is lovely, as are all the staff.

“Simple Island Living, Perfectly Located”

Perfect location right where the boats arrive. Simple, neat, and clean accommodation. I stayed in a deluxe room, which was spacious and had a large balcony with beautiful views of the boats and sunset. The deluxe room is connected to a generator, so the fan can run at night, definitely worth the extra cost. The owner is helpful and arranges everything. There is a dive center below the lodge with a discount for guests, and a large on-site restaurant with sea views and simple breakfast options included. Staying overnight on the island is a big advantage, allowing you to snorkel and dive early in the morning before the day-trip boats arrive. This is a basic accommodation with a simple bathroom. The shower has very limited running water, but there is a basin with a scoop for washing, which is how the locals do it. It takes a little getting used to, but it works perfectly fine.

When evaluating a place like this, you should always know in advance that it is a small island, without electricity and therefore no hot water, so for those who do not indulge and want to experience real nature, I highly recommend Liberty! Stunning place, Pinky upgraded my room from what I booked, a lovely and excellent diving club, the restaurant is good and the food is very tasty! The place is very clean and the staff is welcoming and takes care of all needs.

Great location for snorkelling. Saw turtles lots of fish moral eel staff helpful and friendly. Accomodations basic but it worked

I had a wonderful stay here! The location is simply stunning, right on the beach, with beautiful sea views from the rooms. The rooms are basic but spacious, clean, and comfortable — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. And the food? Absolutely delicious! Every meal was a highlight. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Apo Island — a true gem where you feel at home.

“A real gem”

Considering the remoteness of the island where fresh water and electricicy are scarce, this place is a real gem. Very beautiful open air restaurant where you can socialize with other guests. Tasty food, all meals for 300 p. including crispy pizza. Some evenings young boys play guitare and sing songs, adding a plus to the breezy and relaxing atmosphere. I stayed 4 nights (1'100 p. incl. good breakfast) in a simple concrete room with bathroom and a balcony overlooking the sea. Shower like indonesian mandi : you use a bowl to take water and pour it to your body. Two huge buckets full of : 1) sea water for toilet flush and 2) fresh water, this bucket is always covered so there is no stagnant water for mosquitos to lay eggs. Excellent mattress, mosquito net with some holes, but there were absolutely no mosquitos at all. Very kind and helpful staff. The hotel has been built by an Aussie 20 years ago. Electricity from 6 pm to 10 pm only. Coin machine for wifi (5 p. for 15 minutes). No fan in the room but open windows let sea breeze enter. No noise from cars or scooters but yes from roosters : this is nature ! Plenty of green big turtles that you can admire while snorkling.

It's apo island,no water and or electricity as we know. But the place should be a lot better clean. Was even raining in my bed. There crap everywhere

Beach location, amazing staff,good big breakfast, you can choose between many options, big,comfortable room,nice view from balcony, nice terrace.To get there you pay just 300 php, Menager really responsible, she stays in touch with me and explane, ewerything.

“Amazing if you are OK with four hours electricity and basic way of living”

Staying on Apo is a blast. Accommodation is perfectly located and has good standards, given the basics on the island. It feels like you are one of 30 tourists on an island with 250 inhabitants. One of our best times in the Philippines.
