Overview
Along the rolling hills of the Mpumalanga, outside the hamlet of Dullstroom, Walkersons offers accommodation with a country flair and a cosy fireplace. Modern facilities include an outdoor pool, a spa centre and a well-equipped gym. Classy and traditional, suites at Walkersons Hotel & Spa are fitted with an open fireplace and thatched roofs. Each also comes with a lounge area which includes a flat-screen satellite TV. All rooms open on to an outdoor patio overlooking the lake. The on-site restaurant serves a variety of courses and sorbets in the fireside intimacy of the dining room. Guests are invited to select a bottle of wine, before taste dishes like roast duck with a black cherry sauce and rainbow trout. Enjoy walking along the contoured pathways after a treatment in the Walkersons Spa or choose from a variety of activities, including, fishing and horse riding. Picnic baskets are served in the open-air spaces of the hotel, facing winding rivers and a waterfall.

Idyllic location, surrounded by mountains. Scenic views across dams stocked with trout. We had a gorgeous room with a fireplace and outside shower. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner and breakfast - delicious food, excellent ingredients, prepared to perfection. Take a golf cart to explore the estate!

Lovely cottage with a very efficient gas fireplace because it did get a bit nippy in the evenings )we were there in March). Well equipped kitched and very compafortable beds, showers and bath. Beautifully crisp linen. We had very leasant views from our patio. You can enjoy long walks around the dams along the gorgeous valley, the gushing weirs and the spectacular waterfall there really is no need to leve the property at all because of its cirisp air and scottish highland feel. The walk up the the mountain was a true higlight and brought us close to a small herd of zebras and a sight of deer along the ridge. There is a lot of wildlife of all sorts and we are sure we saw a spotted neck otter dashing between lakes one late afternoon. The service is especially attentive and very friendly everywhere.

“Best place ever!”
Everything was superb! The staff were friendly and very helpful. They even spoke Afrikaans which was só appreciated. The whole experience was more than we ever experienced at any other place. The luxurious room has so much to rave about. The food was five star quality in the restaurants. The gardens, the view etc. - I could go on forever - were a pleasant experience. We would recommend the Walkersons Hotel any day and we will definitely be back soon. Thank you very much.
