Overview
This refurbished early 1900s farmhouse is within 30 minutes’ drive of Frederikshavn and Aalborg. In summer, Ellekær-Gård’s furnished terrace is a nice place to relax in the sun. Toilets, showers and laundry facilities in the main building are shared with the owner. The annex has shared bathrooms as well. Lunches can be ordered, on request. The nearest supermarket is in Flauenskjold, 4 km away. There are good opportunities for nature walks and trekking in the area. Shops and restaurants are found in Dronninglund, 10 km from Ellekær-Gård. The 14th-century Voergård Castle is 2 km from the farmhouse, while the sandy Sæby Beach is about 20 minutes drive away. Bird watching in the natural surroundings is a common area activity.

Travelled by motorcycle. The place was run by an elderly couple. The place was very homey. Smelled a little bit of dog, but no problem for me. The place was like living at home. Nice living room with kitchen, small rooms and beds. Breakfast was very good and freshly cooked. I liked the place alot, but this place is not maybe for everyone.

“Highly recommend you stay here if you are visiting the area. Amazing hospitality.”
The breakfast was amazing and Britt was so kind to pick us up from the bus station and even drop us off at the Voergaard Castle. Super cozy home felt like a home away from home for us backpackers.
