Breakfast and meals were good at the restaurant, and all the staff we're very friendly, as they we're a tour operator also they sorted all our tours whilst we were there

“Relaxing family run hotel with close access to the beach”

This family run place is a super nice spot next to Drake Bay center. With the beach just 2 min walk away it offers a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the coast. The staff is super friendly and the breakfast was delicious. They also organized the snorkeling tour to Cano Island for us which was really excellent. Totally recommended.

Clean quiet room, good restaurant, booked Corcovado tour here with Jonathan who patiently waited for us on the beach. Nice walk from Drakes bay along the beach to Playa Josecito. Lovely garden to sit in and beach right opposite although a bit rough for swimming.

Amazing beautiful place managed by a very nice and helpful family. There is a beautiful beach 2 minutes by walk, the rooms are spacious with AC. Also, the breakfast is delicious. Very good place for birdwatching, and a lot of tours can be organised with the owner. We did the Corcovado full day with them and it was amazing.

Very friendly owners. They offer a nice snorkeling trip to the Caño Island.

The room is a good size, the bed very comfortable and the ac was super.The eating area is small but clean, and the food and prepared drinks are very good. It is a short walk to a very nice beach, and is in a quiet area outside of Drake Bay.

“Best place to enjoy Corcovado Drake Bay”

I enjoyed staying at Casa Gitana during my last few days in Costa Rica. The room was very spacious and clean. The hosts Edith and Jonathan were extremely helpful , they arranged water taxi from Sierpe, picked up, and dropped off service to pier and tour to Corcovado National Park. The garden is well kept with colourful plants and flowers, which attracts lots of birds. There was a beautiful Gitana beach to relax and watched the sunset. I highly recommend staying here to experience true Costa Rica beauty.

Amazing place - very clean, friendly and helpful staff, delicious (but really, delicious) food and location, just few meters from beautiful Gitana beach (see pictures). They also organised all the logistics for us - boat from Sierpe, pick-up at the dock in Drake Bay, tour to NP Corcovado (with complete American breakfast at 5 AM before the departure) , taxi to the airport, … We felt really relaxed and had a great time.

We loved everything. Casa Gitana is about 2km outside Agujitas, which makes it special. From Sierpe, clients land on the beach by boat and go along a short walkway to the hotel. Jonathon and Edith are the most incredibly helpful owners, organizing trips (to Corcovado, snorkeling, diving…) or tolerating visitors lying in the hammock in the garden. The small restaurant is fine, serving meals and drinks. There is also a small kitchen and a fridge if you want to make simple meals yourself. Our room was small and super clean. We took drinks to the beach (more or less private) to watch the sunset each night. Great value for money, too!

The hotel was close to the beach. The personal was nice and it felt very familiar. The tours we booked where amazing and we where always picked up and brought back to the hotel. Even the ferry back to Sierpe picked us up directly from the beach at the hotel.
