“Can’t picture a better place to stay at Drake Bay”

Wonderful location and terrace overlooking the sea. You can catch different birds like toucans and scarlett macaws directly from the terrace. Lots of space and great service — we booked all of our Drake Bay tours via the accommodation. I need to come back again!

The view from our cabin was amazing! The personnel was helpful. The room was every day cleaned and perfectly done. Emanuel didn't speak much English, but he was very helpful with showing us animals and birds in the garden. We also did a few tours that were booked through the accommodation. These were also very good! It was an amazing start of our holiday.

“Amazing views of the bay!”

Location is a short hike up the hill, but this results in an amazing view over the bay. Lay down in the hammocks and watch the nature. Perfect.

“Extremely comfortable”

Checked in and parked at Hotel Jacamer then taken to our lodge - several steps but worth it with great view of bay with terrace and hammock. Large spacious room with double bed and super king bed. Great air con. Separate kitchen.

Spacious but cosy wood cabin with good kitchen and warm shower. Good location for access to tours and restaurants but quiet with great view. Friendly owners.

The beautiful view of the bay and the comfortable set up of the patio. The kindness of Emiliano (the owner) and the assistance provided by the hotel that manages the property (they arranged transportation and all the tours for us). The AC works well and the cabin is very spacious. The kitchen has everything you need.

Very comfy, large apartment with beautiful sea view. We saw each morning hummingbirds, aras and other animals.

“Perfect view and beautiful surrounding”

Beautiful location with a perfect view over the bay. In the morning you see Aras in the trees around the location as well as Iguanas. Very clean and spacious. Special thanks to Leo from Jacamar hotel (which manages the booking for Cabana Ara). He was extremely supportive and helpful.

“Very nice place”

Very clean, smart set up , a lot of scarlet macaws to see just from the terrace. When electricity went down in the whole area, within 5 minutes we got a guy bringing candles. Plus light on the terrace had independent power source. The owner also arranged boat for us to/from drake bay.

“Perfect place in paradise”

Arrived via boat and Ema was waiting on the beach as stated in our instructions. He took us to our cabin which overlooked the bay with stunning views. The lodge itself had everything we needed for our stay, was extremely clean and in the perfect location. Highly recommend booking the guided tour to Corcovado NP (Sirena station) with Javier. Ema's restaurant recommendations were also spot on. We only wished we could have stayed in this paradise longer!

“Luxury view without the luxury price tag”

Wonderful view and location overlooking Drake Bay within walking distance of restaurants and super markets. We went to sleep to the sound of waves and woke to the sound of birds. Paradise. The beds were comfortable and the cabana adequately equipped including ground coffee and shampoo so the owners have obviously taken on board feedback in previous reviews. This is not a luxury spa hotel so don’t expect a steaming hot power shower, but we were very comfortable here. Above all this, the kindness and responsiveness of Emmanuel and the property owners when my partner injured her knee was lovely. A great place to stay.

“Amazing!”

The cabaña was very nice, clean and spacious with 2 large beds. The view of Drake Bay from the balcony was incredible! Emanuel was great - he picked us up at the beach when we arrived in Drake Bay and helped us to the cabaña with our bags and also booked us a Mangrove Boat Tour. Quick walk from the cabaña into the main town which was very quiet and relaxed with some nice restaurants, bars and a couple of shops. The beach is very close and so is the Drake Trail Hike, which I would recommend. I would definitely love to stay here again.

Breathtaking view

N/A because we had a self catering kitchen in our bungalow so we bought and cooked our own breakfasts and dinners and went out to lunch. Fabulous view from the balcony overlooking the bay and wonderful birdwatching! The owner was very friendly and helpful.

“comfy room on Drake Bay”

right on the beach, big and comfy room with AC. quiet

The view was amazing. there was a three in front of the Terasse where Pelican & aras came every morning. The room is not moderne but bed very confortable & super service. Which made our stay excellente!! we recommend to stay there. we enjoyed so much the view, calm & wild life around the hostel. we also needed to cancel the last night linked to trip issues and they give us money back, thank you a lot for this flexibility!! they also booked all our trip (Corcovado & snorkeling). thank you!

“Paradise on earth !”

Very nice and comfortable bungalow just in front of the sea with a fantastic view. I have spent hours sitting on the porch, watching birds, aras, hummingbirds passing by. I could even spot iguanes in some trees. The view on the sunset are beautiful. It is also only a few minutes from the beach so it's very practical to go on guided tours, which leave by boat on the beach in the morning. The staff has been great, helping us organizing tours in La Sirena on in the mangrove. They also helped us carrying our heavy luggage on top of the stairs going to the bungalow. I strongly recommend, everything was perfect.
