Overview
Hotel der Bäume is located in Asbach, in the heart of the Zellertal valley. The hotel offers a cosy spa area with a sauna, indoor pool, solarium and massage room. The accommodation provides newly designed theme suites as well as modern rooms. Each room features a seating area and satellite TV. A hearty breakfast brunch is available every morning. In the evenings, guests can sample regional beer here. Hotel der Bäume is the perfect starting point for hiking or cycling in the Bavarian Forest, or else day-trips to the adjacent Sumava National Park in the neighbouring Czech Republic. In winter, guests can explore the Arber ski area or the numerous cross-country ski trails.

“Nice hotel with great sauna for the price level, but no comfortable dinner options”
Likeable old hotel that was cautiously renovated. Nothing about it is "fancy", but it's affordable and invests in quality where it matters: The sauna is tiny, but in great condition, the relaxation room is comfy, with direct access to the garden. The rooms are perfectly suitable and the staff is agreeable. The breakfast is exceptional at this price level, ample choice for a small hotel, and fresh eggs made to order.

Very silent place with great views and a lot of hiking routes nearby. Very good SPA: sauna, large pool, rest room. In the evening, sitting outside, you can find yourself in the clouds, literally)
