After a busy day exploring Lake Como, it was a real pleasure to return here and enjoy the peace and quiet. The room offered a beautiful view of the lake, which was especially stunning in the evening. The owner is very welcoming, kind, and always ready to help. The service was excellent, and the room was always clean and comfortable. We would also like to highlight the breakfasts included in the stay. They were delicious, fresh, and plentiful, with wonderful pastries and a great selection of products. We especially remember the strawberries from the owner’s garden that were served at breakfast. Small details like this show how much care and heart the hosts put into this place. “Botton d’Oro is gold”

We love Botton d'Oro. The room we got was everything we needed for our trip. Neat, enough space, good shower and clean. Fantastic view on the lake! The breakfast is very good with local, qualitative products. And good coffee! Hey, we're in Italy :-) Tip: You can also buy some of the products produced by the family at very reasonable prices. The best part however is the owner, Chiara. Authentic, honest, service minded and driven. We love her and felt immediately welcome, like a kind of instant family members. When you are in the area and need a place to stay, do yourself a favor and drive some steep kilometers up to Botton d'Oro. It's the yellow house on your right in Stazzona.

Wonderful location, high on the mountain with a gorgeous view of Lake Como. Family run B&B, exceptional service, brand new rooms. It's a bit challenging to drive up the road with tight turns, but well worth it!

“Wonderful and relaxing stay!”

Wonderful Agriturismo near lake Como. The room was very clean, breakfast was delicious and the owners (Chiara and her family) where absolutely amazing and super friendly. We had a wonderful stay and hope to come back soon!

Chiara e sua madre e suo padre sono molto carine!. Chiara and her parents are very kind hosts. Abbiamo domito bene e la colazione era delicioso. We slept well and breakfest was very good.

“Peaceful stay”

Perched on the hills over Dongo, it allows beautiful views of lake Como. Chiara, the host, is very attentive and does her best to keep her guests happy.

“Peaceful, clean, comfortable, lovely owners”

Peaceful, very clean and comfortable. Chiara (the lady owning the B&B) was wonderful, very cheerful, helpful and always there when guests need her. For breakfast there were delicious regional products, most of these products being made by Chiara and her lovely family.

Chiara and her family are delightful hosts that give you the best treatment from the moment you arrive. The breakfast was excellent with berries right out of their garden and homemade jams. Will definitely go back.

“The most perfect stay at the top of the lake!”

It was a beautiful welcome from Chiara and her family. She helped me reach the address after I had made an error when using the satnav. As an English speaker I was able to communicate with Chiara easily. The room was beautiful and clean. The view was stunning and the morning breakfasts were delicious. At a small cost the host also prepared a lovely little surprise of chocolates, pastries, prosecco, olives, meats and bread for my partners birthday.

Chiara made the difference, she’s a great host and nothing is too much.

“Lovely agriturismo with amaaaazing views!!”

My spouse and I stayed for 3 nights at the agriturismo in the last week of April 2023. It is a beautiful agriturismo in the mountains, accessible by car and parking was not a problem on-site. The well-kept house which houses their three rental rooms is beautiful and in a quiet area. It has an amazing view of the Lago di Como which we could appreciate from our bed in our room!! Amazing views!!! The rooms are all on the ground floor with a shared patio in front. Our room was spacious, clean, modern and nicely decorated with a very functional ensuite (shower - sink - toilet - bidet). A kettle with some tea/coffee supplies and a hairdryer were available in the room. The water from the faucet is fit for drinking and we used it for our teas. Wifi was available and good. Breakfast is served in a separate room adjacent to our room and had views too! Our table was lovingly and carefully set up for our breakfast with a perfectly hard-boiled egg, fresh cuts of hams and cheeses, and fresh bread. Teas, coffee, hot and cold milk, yogurts, fruit, jams, honey, homemade cake/muffins were set up buffet style on the counter. Their jams and ham cuts are truly delicious. Chiara was informed about my gluten intolerance and she catered for it without any problems to my sheer delight. Finally a word about the hosts. Chiara was there to greet us on our first day and welcomed us to our room with a glass of homemade sambuco syrup diluted with water. She is such a great person who is always ready to listen and provide care and attention albeit her busy schedule with their farming and produce. Her advice on where to park to catch the ferry to tour the Lago di Como saved us a lot of hassle as parking close to the Lago is very scarce. We also enjoyed a very lovely dinner at the nearby restaurant La Trave - 400 meters away following her advice. Her family is great and we learned a lot about their farming and life in the mountains.
