Very lovely bungalow and the family who run the bungalows are very friendly, kind and helpful. Comfortable bed and hot showers.

The balcony rooms were wonderful. Very spacious, clean, and had everything you needed. We were able to rent bikes which was great. Overall just a great property with great staff, vibes and location on the river.

Mr Thin is very kind and helpful

Wonderful place for a couple of days out in don det. The bungalows are simple but functional, you should not expect any kind of luxury. Still we liked the place a lot. Mr Tho and his stuff are very helpful. The restaurant is nice, there is free water supply and the views from the terrace hanging in the hammock are just amazing - the resort is quite a walk away from the village, what we appreciated as there is really not much around. If you are into a little more comfort, book one of the rooms in the nieuw house just opposite the bungalows, they have everything one wants

The staff was amazing, a family managed hotel qnd they do everything to try and help you with any of your requests (e.g. transfer to cambodia, rent bikes, "withdraw" cash). The food was really good, I can recommend the Shakshuka even though because of differences in spices it doesn't taste like the original it is in its own way really tasty. The Hammocs infront of every riverview room are an amazing place to watch the sunrise, the river and the stars if you turn off the lights!

“Awesome place with more awesome hosts”

The rooms are clean, big beds and hood AC! Location is perfect, they wash laundry very fast, bicycles to rent, really good food. Very cute cats. But the best part are the hosts!! They are awesosome. They even made us an amazing bbq for very cheap. Ended up staying extra days because its so nice.

“Lovely relaxing stay”

Lovely riverside location

Both my Dad and I loved our 5 night stay at Mr Tho's Bungalows. We arranged our arrival transfer from Pakse via whats app with Mrs Tho. We stayed in a room in the main building. The rooms were simple but clean, good air con and ceiling fan, big comfy beds with mozzie nets. Each room had an outdoor hammock and seating area. Mr and Mrs Tho were always busy cleaning and tidying the property. We were lucky that Mr Tho's restaurant had just reopened after the monsoon on the day we arrived. The food really was excellent with very gererous portions, the banana pancakes, omelettes, fruit smoothies and yellow curry were fabulous. Mr and Mrs Tho were lovely and helpful. We rented bikes for 30 kip a day and can highly recommend the electric scooters for 150 kip a day. They also booked our transfer back to Pakse. I will definitely stay here again and would like to try the riverside bungalows next time as the hammocks overlooking the river looked great (although the passing boats can be a bit noisy in the mornings). We had a beautifully relaxing stay.

Nice air-conditioned riverside bungalows. Hammock right outside the room, which was nice to relax in. Bed with mosquito net. Offers bike rental, riding around both Don Det and Khong is a nice day.

It’s a really nice place along the river. The rooms are clean and simple as you can expect for this price. The location is actually perfect just outside of town. If you want to go to a restaurant at the sunset side of the island you can walk through rice fields and beautiful temples to get there. You can rent bikes here and book a full day kayaks tour here which we really enjoyed. There is airconditioning. This is a budget option so there is no cleaning after you check in and there are ants in the room. It does get really hot in front of the rooms in the hammocks so you won’t be able to use these a lot, especially not in the morning when the sun comes up.

Easy going owners and good coffee, beautiful location practically in the Mekong, provided mosquito nets and the air con was great, worked really well. Helpful with organising activities and buses. Cute cat too. Couldn't have asked for more.

Everything was perfect. I cannot speak highly enough of Mr Tho’s Bungalows. We kept extending and stayed for a total of 2 weeks!
