Overview
Surrounded by vineyards, Rooms Domačija Kabaj Morel is located in the small village of Šlovrenc. Its guests can sample homemade wines, during your stay you can try typical Slovenian-Italian cuisine, prepared on a modern way and enjoy local specialities in the on-site restaurant. All rooms offer a beautiful view of the area and free Wi-Fi. Rooms are furnished with natural materials and decorated in pastel colours. Each comes with hardwood floors and features a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Guests can start their day with breakfast served in the Domačija Kabaj Morel’s restaurant decorated in traditional style. You can also purchase the special Kabaj Wine, which is aged in clay vessels called amphoras, like in ancient times. A shared terrace with views of the surrounding vineyards is also at guests’ disposal. Free private parking is possible on site. Biking and hiking opportunities, as well as golf courses can be found in the vicinity. The centre of Dobrovo is 2 km away and Nova Gorica is 20 km from the Rooms Domačija Kabaj Morel. Trieste Airport is at a distance of 60 km.

The B&B was nice, good location and great breakfast. The host was very kind. She did made some recommendation for a wine bar near by white was also very good.

“An absolutely exceptional place.”
This was truly a beautiful experience from start to finish. The sunset over the vineyard is simply breathtaking. Dinner with the wine pairing is a must — a memorable experience and one of the highlights of our stay. The wines are excellent, especially the sparkling wine, which we loved so much that we bought some to take home. The host was the best we have ever had in all our travels — warm, attentive, and genuinely wonderful. The room was simple, yet very warm, welcoming, and well equipped. Everything felt comfortable and thoughtfully prepared. The property is also very easy to reach. A dream of a place — we would return without hesitation.

“Amazing stay in Slovenian Wine Country”
We loved everything about our stay here. It was the last night of a beautiful trip to Slovenia, and the Kabaj hotel and staff made us want to stay on for another week. The tasting menu we had for dinner was excellent, the surroundings beautiful, the staff kind, the rooms well-lit and comfortable, and there is nothing I could even suggest to be any better. Looking forward to our next stay!

“An amazing vineyard in an amazing country”
This is the second time that we have stayed at Kabaj and it is just amazing! The rooms are super clean and comfy and thank god for the aircon (this week was horrible in Slovenia). The place is great to comité and visit places around or if you want to go on a trail walk. But the best thing is the dinner. Kabaj offers a 5 course meal (well actually 9 course as there are many side dishes) with their own produced wine. You can see that they care for their wines when the owner explained every wine variety and how it paired with the Michelin star-level plates. (I have been to many Michelin star restaurant and believe me Kabaj has nothing to envy them). In addition the products they use are of km zero, reducing the carbon footprint and making the most of the local products. Looking forward to go back.

“Relaxing Stay with Delicious Food, Cozy Beds, and Wine on the Terrace”
It's a bit a hidden gem, ... you need to find it (at least we have seen no sign)! When there it's really nice, ... one feels very welcome and it is a relaxing place. Rooms are big enough and the beds are quite comfortable. The breakfast is delicious and offers quite an variety on a high quality level. The owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Dinner there is really nice and just sitting on the terrace in the evening with a bit of wine, cheese and bread was nice as well.

Kabaj Winery is a hidden gem! Their fantastic bubbles are pure elegance, and their gnocchi was exquisite. Waking up to splendid vineyard views from our window was simply breathtaking. Exceptional hospitality and an unforgettable experience—I can’t wait to return!

We really enjoyed the location in the middle of the countryside at a vineyard. The service and food were exceptional. The breakfast was really hearty and diverse. The dinner was a seven course meal, and the pairing suggestions were excellent. Thank-you to Katje.
