Our experience here was beautiful. We only stayed for one night, but we enjoyed every second. The owners are really kind, the house is beautifully decorated and adorned with vintage paintings, furniture and all kinds of decor. I can tell everything was carefully thought out, and there is a lot of love that went into this. If you’re lucky, you might even see a hedgehog :) This is fit for those who appreciate the past.

It was a lovely stay in the middle of the small village outside of the city. The house is wonderful and cool (despite the heat outside in summer). The hosts are lovely and the instructions very clear. Easy communication and good welcome. We slept well (till 7:00 am..)! Thankful to our lovely host for sharing the history of the house and the pictures etc. A true piece of history!

Staying at this beautiful 1797 house near Ljubljana was an unforgettable experience. It’s by far one of the most unique, authentic, and charming places we’ve ever stayed at. The house is full of character, history, and soul, yet it has all the modern comforts you might need — everything was perfectly clean and thoughtfully prepared for guests. The peaceful location, surrounded by nature, made it a perfect retreat for our family. Every detail of the interior reflects love and care, and we truly felt like we were stepping into a different era — but with today’s conveniences. A special thank you to our wonderful host, who welcomed us with such warmth and kindness. He made us feel truly at home from the very first moment. His hospitality and personal touch made the stay even more special. We would absolutely love to come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an extraordinary and authentic stay in Slovenia.

A wonderful apartment in a Slovenian, surrounded by nature with a historical character that has been preserved both inside and out. The owner is a very kind and polite person. He gave us detailed information about the history of the house and also provided useful insights about the surrounding area. Everything was very clean and smelled great. If I come back to this country, I would definitely choose this place again.

This place is well preserved with its past appearance while also having modern conveniences. If you look at every corner of the room, you can see that the designer has put effort into achieving harmony. And the friendly explanations of each room's history and the stylish decorations help you get into the mood. Add to that the kindness of the host and this place becomes perfect. (I would like to thank Franci again for welcoming me so warmly despite my late night arrival.)

It's an old house with a great story, beautifully renovated, with old furniture and objects from the past and all the modern commodities, floor heating being one of them. Has everything one might need for cooking and enjoying a few days or more in a splendid garden. Our hosts were more then welcoming and made us feel like home and among friends. Thank you for having us! The location is perfect for exploring Slovenia, everything is a day trip away.

Absolutely everything! The name suits it perfectly, it’s charming and cosy with historical and vintage details all throughout the house, making it a perfect example of renovating in staying-true-to-its-origins kind of way. The backyard is also wonderful and it was a real pleasure having coffee there in the morning. The host was amazing, treating us with wine and some fun facts about the property. The apartment itself had absolutely everything we needed and more, spotless too!
