Overview
This family-run hotel is located in the centre of Dinan, opposite the famous Duguesclin Square and near the château and its ruins. It offers spacious rooms with free Wi-Fi. Accessed by a lift, the soundproofed guest rooms at the Hôtel le Challonge are equipped with flat-screen TVs with satellite channels and private bathrooms with a hairdryer. A continental breakfast in a buffet style is served every morning and there is a restaurant adjoining the hotel, which serves lunch and dinner. Newspapers are available each morning and bottles of champagne can be purchased at the reception. Hôtel le Challonge is a 30-minute drive from Saint-Malo, a 20-minute drive from Dinard and the Brittany coastline. Cancale is a 30-minute drive from the hotel and Mont Saint-Michel is approximately a 45-minute drive away. A transfer service is available upon request and there is also bike storage available at an extra cost.

“Very nice stay in heart of town”
Very good location, with plenty of parking spaces in front of the hotel, close to nice restaurants and right in the heart of town. We had a family room, with two interconnected rooms basically and one bathroom, super comfortable bed and quiet surroundings. Very friendly and helpful staff, kept us informed about the parking, and the events taking place in town during that period. Pretty decent breakfast.

We had a truly wonderful stay. The location is absolutely perfect, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The rooms were spacious, very comfortable, and finished to a high standard. The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always willing to help. Breakfast was excellent, with great variety and quality, and we especially appreciated the availability of gluten-free options. The price was very reasonable considering the overall experience, and parking right in front of the hotel was convenient and relatively affordable. Overall, we were extremely satisfied and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located stay.

“Great staff, decent room, excellent location and value.”
Hotel What a lovely stay. The hotel is unpretentious but far better than one might expect for a property in such an excellent central location and at such a very reasonable price. We were particularly impressed with the charming front of house staff - one young man gave us tips (riverside walk to Lohan) and great inexpensive dining recommendations (Art Bilig for galettes, La Lycorne for incredible duck) which made the stay in already lovely Dinan into a really memorable experience. Thank you so much! Parking If you stay here, a parking tip: by day there's free parking just beyond the train station (20 mins walk away) but from 7pm to 9am it's free to park on the street right outside the hotel. Or from 6.30pm to 9.30am if you use the free half hour per day tickets from the parking meters.
