The host was demanding a 500 euro deposit on arrival. When I read the policy it was told if there were damages it would be payable on check-out. The guests left the house neat and tidy, made the beds and put the rubbish outside. The owner is complaining the house was left in mess, this is not true. The photos she sent was evident that it was left tidy, all the dishes were washed and the place was tidy. The floors were not washed as the guests did not feel this was their responsibility. One of the guests did not make her bed as she knew the bedding would be stripped for the next guests. An additional guest joined, Mr Mbete asked if he could eft the 80 euros, the owner insisted on him paying cash. He left 100 euro on the table in the hallway. The owner said he did not. All the guests witnessed the cash being left. These are trustworthy people and there is no reason to doubt their integrity. The owner seemed to be taking a chance. She is continually sending me messages demanding the money - the cash was left there with an additional 20 euros too.
