We were completely amazed by the property, the view and the hospitality.

Our room, with a panoramic bird's eye view of the golf course was amazing. The staff were also amazing. Hereth was so pleasant, and anticipated our every need - a top notch service from him! The food was also spectacular - on half board, a choice of a western or Sri Lankan meal - both outstanding. And they surprised me with the most beautiful birthday cake - it looked like it was made in a fine patisserie! We would definitely stay here again. Many thanks to all the staff!

“A little slice of heaven”

If heaven was a place on earth The Albatross would be it. The most incredible views, location, stunning room. The staff were fantastic, the food plentiful with a wide selection of A La Carte. We were half board and the food was very good.

The view is absolutely stunning! Pictures will never do it justice! It's in the middle of nowhere but is 100% worth being so far out for this view! The food was amazing! Best breakfast we've had in Sri Lanka with actual bacon & perfectly cooked eggs. We were half board & the dinners were incredible. 4 courses with beautifully cooked food. The seafood was super fresh, perfectly cooked & some of the best we've ever had. The prawns were 🤌🏼 They even accommodated our children at dinner time with some extra french fries for them. The cocktails were great, especially Ayesh's ceylonese The staff were all so lovely & happy to help with everything. We had an amazing stay, would 100% recommend & would love to come back one day.

The location was surprisingly good. We were allowed to fly the drone over Victoria reservoir and golf turf. Spa facility was top notch with a sauna and steam bath facilities. Massage technician was professional. The bartender, Ayesh knows his job and made very good cocktails for us. Meals were delicious. We couldn’t expect more.

“Relaxing stay and fantastic food!”

Had an amazing stay at the Albatross, which is situated in a golf resort away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy. We stayed in the Tee Off suite which has the most breathtaking views of the hills and was very comfortable. The staff were very attentive and the chefs were excellent, inviting us to try a hand at cooking hoppers one evening! The guest house has a really nice homey vibe, with lots of entertainment like a pool table and dvds available. The staff also helped us organise a golf lesson nearby!

The view is absolutely stunning, it’s really worth it alone for the view. The rooms are well equipped. Good breakfast.

Stunning views of the golf course, Victoria Reservoir and the surrounding mountains. The hotel had tons of character and the rooms were nice and comfortable. The staff were endlessly friendly, pleasant and helpful. Can’t recommend this place enough.

The Albatross is love letter to golfing. All the decor is lovingly curated to speak to the golfer's soul. We had a beautiful room which offered breathtaking views of the scenery. You will be spoilt for choice with the extensive menu, and be prepared to find your clothes fitting a little more snugly because you will enjoy all the delicious meals. Special thanks to Mr Thilak and his team for being so attentive and for taking such good care of us. We felt completely at home at The Albatross!

Absolutely wonderful. Just sorry we were only there 1 night. Ideal accommodation to get down to Victoria Resevoir for the seaplane or if you are a golfer. Lovely gardens with a very clean swimming pool, steam and sauna and also a jacuzzi. Location, room, food and all those we interacted with on site were exceptional. We were well looked after by the chefs Mr Anoora and Mr Benidict and also by barman/waiter Ayesh.

The Albatross is a stunning property with beautiful, unobstructed views overlooking Victoria Dam. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The food was superb, we enjoyed authentic Sri Lankan dishes for dinner and lighter sandwiches and omelettes for breakfast and lunch - both were 10/10! The chef catered to my vegetarian diet which was highly appreciated. The hosts at the hotel were so kind and accommodating. We felt really well looked after and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Even this place is little far from the Kandy City (approx 25 Km), it's a place which you must try at least once to experience the real beauty of Sri Lanka. I suggest to stay at least 2 to 3 days to fully experience the atmosphere it's worth for your every penny. The Staffs are really friendly and helpful and you you can ask for any information !!
