I have been coming to Baobab for the last 20 years, we came as a family and my kids really enjoyed it. I was away for years, now I’m back and was excited to come to baobab again, the team is fantastic as before, the food amazing but the room was quite disappointing, the air conditioning was switching off many times at night, no ways of switching it on again without standing up, what destroyed the sleep as this happened many times. Water pressure in the shower was very low and the water cold, I couldn’t even understand why. Remote control of TV didn’t work at all, we went to the reception to report it, they said, they would come but nothing happened. The answer for the air conditioning was that, baobab is experiencing power problems, really ? In a hotel with this reputation? It’s a shame. I hope after maridadi and kole kole are renovated, things will be better. The rooms where we were, are recently renovated but I do not see an improvement. I don’t need a high tech technology, basic things like warm water, air conditioner and water pressure are essential. Please work on that. Baobab should not lose the reputation it always had. Great location with just by the beachside. The public area was big and well maintained. The food was great and we even luckily bumped into a special Easter feast.

This is the third time we visit the hotel. We loved it the first time and that was the reason we came back twice more. We loved the beach and the swimming pools. There are 5 restaurants in the resort - 3 in the all-inclusive concept and 2 a-la-carte. Food in all of them was good, fresh and nicely presented (we didn't try the a-la-carte). There are snacks through the day - my kids loved the pizza :). Rooms are of decent size and well maintained. There is animation team through the day that try to make your holiday more active - the kids loved that.

Amazing staff, amazing food, super clean, amazing location, great entertainment, couldn't fault it. Had read mixed reviews so didn't know what to expect but it was honestly really great. Rooms were big and spacious. Pools were wonderful and great variety of you prefer a quieter area.

Beautiful beachfront location. Accommodation layout with adult only, quiet areas and pool, fun activity pools and great kids facilities. Excellent food and service in multiple restaurants. Very comfortable, spacious rooms, many have just been refurbished. Friendly, professional staff everywhere. Great watersport activities. Fabulous scuba and snorkeling. Good gym and spa. This has been our third visit, and we'll be back again. Thanks for a fantastically relaxing stay.

The location was perfect, and the atmosphere was wonderful—right from the moment we arrived, we knew it was going to be a great experience. The rooms were clean, well cared for, and modern, which made our stay very comfortable. The only issue we encountered was with our air conditioner leaking, and unfortunately, it wasn’t fully resolved. That said, the stay was definitely value for money. We just wish the gym and a few other amenities were included in the all-inclusive package. The entire resort was clean and beautifully maintained, and we experienced no noise issues throughout our stay. The entertainment was fantastic, and the service was truly top-notch from all the staff. Juma welcomed us on arrival and was incredibly helpful, which made a great first impression. We felt safe and secure throughout our time onsite. Baobab, our stay was so enjoyable that we would absolutely return. Keep up the incredible work!

“Exceptional and beyond our expectations”

The hotel was just exceptional. The staff, the luxury of the room, the cleanliness , the greenery and beauty of the environment(even the monkeys were friendly).It was beyond what we expected as regular travellers around the world. Whoever that is reading this, don't hesitate to choose this hotel. Impossible to find anything negative about this property. I will definitely return in the future

Good value for money! The staff were exceptional. Paid attention to my dietary requirement. I am allergic to palm oil and they made sure none of my food had any palm oil so it was an amazing stay for me
