We loved everything about this B&B. Our host was very welcoming and helpful with all kinds of information- history, places to go, things to see and do. We had many laughs and exceptional breakfasts in a beautiful dining room. The breakfast was generous and with great variety. The room was well appointed as was the whole house, being for generations a family home with unique interior design. We have no hesitation in recommending this residence. It was a short stroll through a beautiful park to the ferry which transported us every 10 mins to the city centre where there were great places to eat and shops to visit.

Wonderful old house - a warm welcome from host who spent time over tea telling us all about the history of Deventer. Just a short walk and foot ferry into the the centre of the old fascinating town. Comfortable room with everything provided, even if not the most modern - it was what we expected in a house so full of history. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful with a wide range of fruit, yoghurt, cheese, eggs, meat etc - couldn't possibly have asked for more! A most delightful stay with outstanding hospitality.

The location is perfect — situated in a quiet part of Deventer, yet still close to the city center. There is a beautiful park in front of the place, which my window overlooks. The decor brings back memories of the past, as if time stood still. The breakfast was amazing! The caretaker of the house was very knowledgeable about the city and provided great guidance and suggestions for my visit. He was also very helpful and friendly.

Interesting historic house and friendly hosts who greeted us with tea and cake on arrival. They also provided an excellent breakfast in the morning. It was also easy to access the main town of Deventer by using the foot ferry just across the park.

Incredible collection of bric-a-brac and objets d'art in all the rooms. Very quiet precinct. Comfortable bed. Great breakfast spread.

“Great stay in historic house”

Location close to the ferry point. Nice neighbourhood. The owner was friendly and helpful with tips and info about the city. Breakfast was great! The house is old but everything works great. Bed was comfortable and the room I’ve stayed in (on the attic) was very spacious and had even a small kitchen with fridge. Everything looked like escaped from a Charles Dickens book. There were many objects, it would be nice to know about the story behind them.
