The room that I stayed in was quite a contrast to the exterior. The bed was comfy, there was decent Wi-Fi.

The hotel was overrun with drug users loitering and living in the hotel. Knocking on my room door at all hours and I didn’t feel safe. Cigarette burns on the shower floor, window curtains had a big hole burnt in them, furniture had seen better days, duct tape holding the floor together between the bathroom and bedroom, floors were filthy, hair on the shower walls, sink and flooring.

We cancelled our reservation after seeing the hotel. There were questionable guests visible standing in theirs doors. Was not safe for our grandchildren, our daughter in law, son and our selves. Please complete a full refund for us.

I've been staying at various motel 6s in the Des Moines area for quite some time now since the north side one has closed and turned into their new super six or whatever I've been spending most of my time staying at the North side one and over the years it is deteriorated to a mid-level slum housing complex infested with roaches footstep now after about a year have started making any honest and decent effort to clean up but it was at one point not uncommon to walk in and be greeted by more bugs of infestation but then actual workers overall cleanliness of the room is of a hassle to just not focused on the cleaning job just barely making it cozy enough to stay

The desk clerk was friendly and helpful.
