“Relaxing place”

I've stayed here 5 or 6 times and I always enjoy it even if it's a bit rough around the edges. My bed was so comfortable and I love going to sleep and waking up to the sounds of the forest. It's a huge place that never seems to be full which is a shame for them, as they are so hospitable and the food is fabulous. I love the surroundings of the hotel, it's so relaxing and pretty with all the flowers and trees and lots of places to hang out and relax.

“Wonderful Jungle Stay in Deniyaya!”

Location is superb, in the middle of the Jungle, surrounded by nature. The hosts were lovely, they treated us very well and the lady cooked us a superb dinner, because it was raining so we didn't want to go out. We had Fried Rice and Noodles and it was delicious and very big. Had cold beers as well in the fridge, so we were very happy.

“We had a great stay at Rainforest Lodge. If I'd had extra time, I'd have liked to stay longer”

The staff were very welcoming and professional. Despite the fact that we were the only guests at the hotel, and it seemed like a very quiet period, everything was functional and the staff were prepared to fulfil all of our needs and wants. We asked for extra spice in our evening meals, and it was done. We asked for eggs a particular way in the morning, and it was done. The wildlife in the grounds and around the hotel was an excellent introduction to our trip to the rainforest.

“Great place, food and rainforest trek.”

What great place. Large quiet lodge in gorgeous rainforest. Manager does a wonderful job probably all the jobs. One of our best Sri Lankan dinners and breakfast very generous and delicious. She organised a guide for us in Sinharaja rainforest - such an amazing guide and trek.

Friendly hosts who tried to make our stay convenient and comfortable. The staff helped us organize an excursion to the Sinharaj Forest. They also allowed us to check out after returning from the excursion. We were able to take a shower. The owners also found a tuk-tuk that took us to our next place of residence.

“One of my favourites”

This was my fourth visit to the Rainforest Lodge and I always enjoy being there surrounded by jungle vegetation and the sounds of nature. It's a quiet and relaxing place with lots of birdlife and monkeys, and a good base to visit Sinharaja for jungle trekking. The food is very good and the staff very attentive.
