“I can recommend it”

I was worried about this place when I read the reviews but in fact it was totally fine. The room is spatious, clean, the shower didn't go super hot, but worked well, the location is outright excellent. The breakfast spread maybe doesn't look as varied as some other hotels, but what they have on is all very decent quality, you can certainly have pleasant and filling breakfasts here. Room is quiet, air con works, I can recommend the place.

“Poor - avoid”

The lady who checked me in and did breakfast was friendly and kind. We got along with my v small amount of Turkish and sign language. The location was good.

“A quaint amd comfortable place to stay in Demre.”

A very quaint and historical place to stay in Demre. With few places to stay near the bus station and north of the major highway this place has large rooms that seemed well insulated and cool on a warm day. Handy to the Lycian tombs and to the Saint Nicholas museum. Very comfortable with a nice shaded upstairs sitting area.

“Amazing place to stay”

This is a really quaint old Turkish house built in 1940 before roads were established to get materials here so the materials were brought by sea. High ceilings, airy rooms, good aircon and plenty of hot water. Lovely staff and great breakfast. It's like stepping back in time. The town has grown around it, it is next to a petrol station and a mosque so expect an early wake up call. But its still a 10/10 from us.

Staff spoke very good english. For dutch standards very cheap hotel. Walking distance to the sint nicholaos church (sinterklaas) and Myra close by aswell

“Bayraktar provided an excellent value and authentic experience.”

The location of Bayracktar was perfect for us. It is within walking distance of the bus station and also to visit the Church of St Nicolas and the ruins at Myra. It is an older building with charming decorative features. The breakfast was perfect— delicious — prepared and served with care. The proprietor was helpful in adjusting the meal time and ordering a taxi to meet our travel plans.

The proprietor was very helpful in collecting us from the airport and arranging taxis for us on other days. The hotel is in a great location for local sights, St Nicholas' church and Myra.

“Wonderful stay”

The host is so so nice, even though she barely speaks English, but you can just feel the warmth through her! Great room with clean sheets and comfy bed, very cool old turkish mansion with modern stuff equipped inside! Brilliant breakfast! I also had the pleasure to have breakfast with a lovely turkish family together, its just a beautiful thing!!

The lady that is taking care of the hotel is very kind. She does not speak English, but it is not difficult to communicate the basic stuff (use translater if needed). The breakfast is really good.

Kind host, interesting hotel with an od vintage twist. Good breakfast, 5 min from the nice beach.

Good breakfast and the person that works there is so kind! She did her best to communicate with us. They let us leave our luggages for the day also which was really great too. The place is really cute and clean! 7min walking from the bus station and 40min walking from the beach.
