The owner has maintained a sense of history & authenticity within this old building. She is most helpful & informative. The central location (with its private parking if you arrive out of season like I did) is great.

Really friendly staff, honesty box for bits behind the counter, pool table and sofas in the public lounge, lots of entertainment. Great location in the centre of deadwood, great breakfast available in linked casino.

Excellent place to stay, would highly recommend. I really liked the room, the fact it had air con and the lovely cosy bedding. The location was perfect and the parking a real bonus. The staff were also excellent and there was a pool table plus other games downstairs and also free fizzy drinks (soda)

Hotel staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Chatted with us and all around the type of people happy to have guests from all over. We live close enough to frequent Deadwood but a person being first time to Deadwood, would have felt invited to enjoy the town!... adjacent casino machines with bar was absolutely great too with the bartender lady there taking care of us and making my friend's birthday great before we went out on the town and came back to greet my husband and I in the morning when we came to play slots again
