The host was very friendly upon arrival and the house was in a mint condition - everything and more you need to a relaxed break away and more!

The property is absolutely stunning with beautiful views of the ocean and we went there just before the whale festival so we had our own private viewing of whales from the upstairs patio. The house is so spacious, well furnished and absolutely taken care of. You are also a short walk from the beach and have a swimming pool right on the property. The owner Arend is so friendly, hospitable and super welcoming.

I had to pay R1000 breakage before arrival at the property. Three days after departure, I received a WhatsApp message from the host accusing us of breaking the hinges and handle of one of the bedroom doors, and sent an invoice for R530 to be deducted from our breakage payment. When I explained that we were not responsible and found the door in this condition, the host refused to accept my explanation and argued that we should have reported it. (Several items in the house were not in 100% condition, which we didn’t report either). I regularly stay at hotels/guesthouses/holiday rentals and have never experienced something similar. I am left to pay for something I did not break, which is utterly unfair. See pictures the host sent me of hinges and door handle – why would someone who can afford to pay more than R7 000 for two nights steal 4 screws from a door? Absurd. I received no pictures of an actual broken door handle either.

We loved the close proximity to the beach and waking up to the sound of the ocean! We also saw a few whales! Arend our host was very friendly and accomodating!

The location was idyllic. The host was perfect from arrival to departure. Waking up to the views really made you detach from city life. There is also everything in the little Town. Highly recommended

The host Arend, explained everything we needed to know and made us feel so welcomed. The house had everything we needed and the view from the landing was the highlight of our time away. (whale watching all weekend).
