Overview
Located in the heart of Dax in the Aquitaine region, the Splendid Hotel features a fitness centre and a 1800 m² spa including a thermal pool and Cinq Mondes products. The hotel also offers a garden with a terrace. The property is just a short walk from the Jean Nouvel Thermal Baths. Splendid Hotel has guest rooms with an Art-Deco design. Each has a private bathroom and is equipped with a television and free WiFi connection. Room service is available on weekends and weekdays. The hotel has a restaurant with gourmet and creative cuisine that include regional dishes, as well as a children’s menu. Breakfast is served every morning. There is a bar which features musical entertainment. There are also 14 seminar rooms available. The Splendid Hotel is just a short walk from the Borda Museum and the local shopping area. Also available on site is a tour desk. Public parking is available nearby at an extra cost.

“Great hotel, great location, friendly service”
Our room (244) was great, with high ceiling, a large double bed, plenty of cupboards (with enough hangers for once!), and a large bathroom. There was a little fridge too. We had bathrobes and flip-flops (which we used to visit the Spa). We had two large windows which gave us plenty of light and great views. We only had breakfast on our last day and the choice was very good (it included hot food like eggs, sausages and bacon), as well as the continental side. The Spa was really nice too. It is extra at 25 Euros per person for up to 2 hours (if you are a hotel guest). There is a fairly new salt cave but we were not told about it so didn't use it (also extra at 30 Euros for up to 2 people, for 30 minutes). We didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment. But we used the bar and outside terrace a few times and all was good. Prices were a little more than if you went into town but that's to be expected when in a 4-star hotel.

“I travelled for work and enjoy as it were for vacation!”
Everything is fine or perfect: staff is friendly, hôtel is very well decorated, the hall bring you back a century ago and has been beautifully restaured, rooms are comfortable and the bed is near perfect

The placement is very nice, in the city center and close from train station. Although the building seems a bit old it is very well maintained and the art deco style is really enjoyable. The room was very nice, good bed, good and clean bathroom, functioning ac, good soundproofing. The breakfast was also very nice with lots of quality options.
