Everything about this stay exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, spotless and beautifully designed, and the atmosphere felt calm and welcoming from the moment I arrived. Michel was an exceptional host, kind, relaxed and always ready to help with a smile. He truly made me feel at home. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of fresh options, and the location was perfect for exploring while still feeling peaceful.

I really enjoyed my stay – the owner was welcoming and attentive, the setting in the castle made the experience unique, and the surrounding nature created a peaceful atmosphere. The location is ideal, close to many beautiful natural sites worth exploring, and the fast Wi-Fi was a pleasant surprise, making it easy to stay connected while unwinding in such a tranquil place.

Great big boxspring bed with central heated room during these cold days. Quiet at night. Safe parking in front of Chateau. Super delicious home made croissants at breakfast.

“Overnight stay!”

We arrive on a very damp, grey early evening on our motorbikes, so were cold! The host Michel, was very welcoming and friendly and helped us make sure the bikes were parked securely and then helped us take our motorcycle gear in. The accomodation, a lovely remote chateau had deco as you would expect, lots of period paintings and furniture. The bedroom was very spacious. The bed was comfortable and room was quiet, with lovely views over the grounds. We went for a walk around the village to stretch our legs, when we got back Michel had lit the fire in the 1st floor lounge, which was across from our bedroom to warm us up. We had complimentry robes and slippers in our room (as the bathroom and toilet were both on the next floor up!)

“Inspiring stay at a family castle”

In over a month travelling round Belgium, I think this was the stay that I liked the most. It’s a real castle, rebuilt after WWI in a tragic story that you’ll hear when you come! It has loads of period furniture, gilt-framed paintings etc yet while very comfortable, you are staying very much “en famillle” with Michel and his family who live here. The vibe is very relaxed – there’s a great breakfast provided, games to play including Petanque in the grounds which are pretty and extensive without being manicured. If you’re travelling anywhere in this area it’s well worth diverting to stay here, especially mid-week when things tend to be relatively quiet. Prices rise a fair bit at weekends making the place less competitive.

Wonderful stay. Booked the chateau for my partner's parents. They loved it. Such a warm welcome and they were thoroughly spoilt by the owner. He really looked after them. Highly recommend.

"My house is your house, act like being home" summarises our stay. Warm hospitality, no effort is asked too much, free use of kitchen (even what is inside the fridge) and all common spaces. Simple but extensive breakfast, served by the castle owner himself with an eye of attention to use local products. Value for money, even beyond.

The place is fantastic for those seeking peace and quiet. From the castle one can easily depart for long walks or bike rides in the woods and the countryside. The host is very welcoming. The accommodation has a lot of charm and historical details. The rooms on the first floor are spacious with a comfortable double bed and a direct view of the garden. Toilets and bathrooms are separated, and each room disposes of a private bathroom on the second floor. The breakfast was also very good. Guests can use the kitchen to prepare meals if they so wish.
