Waleed was an amazing host. He has created a beautiful place at his Grandfather's House, and we are very grateful to have had the chance to stay there and experience his and his family's hospitality. We very much appreciated their wonderful cooking, and the stories on how the dishes were made. Everything from parking to the tea we drank was arranged for us, and when we told him we wanted to hike, Waleed even arranged a guide for us (Anyone, if you want to hike, ask if Omar can guide you, he showed us the most wonderful spots on Shaq al-Reesh!) All in all, staying here was truly one of the special moments of our trip through Jordan, and I can absolutely recommend it to anyone wishing to have a bit more personal experience when visiting Dana. Thank you for everything, and we look forward to visiting you again when we return!

Very friendly hosts, local experience, beautiful views from just down the road over the wadi, super nice of our hosts to take us to a good sunset watching spot.

Our warmest recommendation to stay at my Grandfathers House when you are in Jordan. Waleed and his whole family are so kind and welcome you with their full heart, you feel like a part of the family. Sitting all together in the tent or by the fire and sharing stories or even getting teached some arabic words, hike around the village or the valley with the boys and explore the area. Waleed and his wife are also the best chefs, so be prepared to enjoy a rich dinner (the soup was sooo tasty!) and a very, very good breakfast (the best was the manakeesh, we loved it). Also, we loved that they have sweet cats and such cute puppies! Big plus: The view to the Dana canyon is the best you may get! Of course, the setting is more rural, but you have everything you need (clean bathroom, big bed, garden with tent to enjoy tea and sit together), plus you get the whole experience of the Jordanian lifestyle and great hospitality as well as the Dana National Park! We wish nothing but the best to Waleed and his family and are thankful that we enjoyed some time at their house.

“Lovely guesthouse”

Really great location, right next to a viewpoint in Dana town. We only stayed for one night but the hospitality was great - we had both dinner and breakfast which was really tasty and we had massive portions! Our room was comfortable and the shower pressure was great. The host can also help to organise hikes with local guides if you want.

Tiny hotel with lots of beautyful details and a great view of the dana valley; the family is very friendly and hospitable and it really felt like home. Waleed and his boys (Mohammed and Shadee) offered us an unforgettable experience. Waleed also teached us some arabian words. 100% recommendation.

This was simply incredible. The family is very welcoming and they help you with whatever you need! The food is very delicious and vegetarian is an option too. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and fine. Of course it is not your 5 star Western Hotel, but if you want a truly amazing experience, this is for you!
