Incredible place, that felt like a home away from home in central Dahab. Mohammed and the team were extremely welcoming when I arrived, with great communication and always on hand to help answer questions. The hostel is extremely clean, has a nice big garden out back, and all amenities you could want - a small kitchen, free water, diving books, key Arabic phrases... Mohammed has built a small, friendly and welcoming home and community that makes it feel more like a family than a cold hotel. Would definitely stay again

“Warm stay”

Every thing was just perfect, the moment I checked in from the main door, warm welcome staff, peroffedional and friendly staff, the owner is very descent and welcoming, loved all the details from welcoming to cleanliness fun games and gathering at the backyard, it exceeded my expectation and made my vacation very pleasant. Thank you so much would definitely visit again.

The owner MO was excellent with his hospitality, great location and facilities. Excellent chillout area to work, eat or read. Good for people who want a quiet location to chillout with other adults of the same mind set. The breakfast was good and authentic. Mo the cleaner was excellent and kept the place spotless.

“Amazing tranquil spot”

From the minute I walked in I was welcomed like an old friend. Mo, the owner, showed me around and gave me a cup of tea. The hostel was so clean and in excellent condition. The dorm room was spacious , with a very comfy bed. Plug sockets and a shelf at every bed, lower bunks have curtains. The bathrooms were clean with hot water, plenty of hooks, and space. There’s a shared kitchen, indoor and outdoor seating areas. Mo also has plenty of events like bbqs to enable guests to socialise if they wish. I had the best time at Tranquilo and can’t wait to go back.

What a wonderful stay at Tranquilo. Mo is a very nice guy, authentic and inspiring, just like the other people I met at the hostel during my trip to Dahab. A small, pretty hostel quiet and clean. Everything was perfect! Thank you so much, and see u soon. Croissant au chocolat 🫡

The staff is so sweet and helpful! Mo gave us good recommendations for kitesurfing and freediving, knew answers to all our questions and made us feel like home. The group hostel trip to the blue lagoon and Abu Galoum was the best!

Hey Tranquilo beautiful people!!! Long time. I always leave my reviews until deadline. VERY SAFE FOR WOMAN PLEASE GIRLS LETS WRITE IN OUR REVIEWS PLACES THAT ARE SAFE FOR WOMEN. NOT ONLY IN EGYPT BUT ALL OVER THE WORLD. VERY FRIENDLY WITH ORIENTAL AND PEOPLE FROM SOUTH SIDE OF THE GLOBE. Tranquilo is more of a house than a hostel. Tranquilo is owed by this very lovely couple ( i am soo very soorry for having forgotten yours names. it seems really rude, but it has already been three months... ). Well probably with a newborn baby now. <3 For me it didnt work because I live in hostels. And Tranquilo is not very well equipped if you want to stay long term. As I said it is a lovely place but is it a house, so in the summer the living room was a bit crowded because during the day the air in the room is off. Which happens in most hostels in Egypt. That is the main reason I left. And the lack of space in the kitchen. The owner she is lovely, abstolutely lovely. By experience, staying in a hostel where the female owner looks after the kitchen is a bit problematic. Not a deal if you're just for few days. It is small for summer, But now, there is a lovely garden, with very nice calm. Actually evening vibes in Tranquilo is really nice. They bring lovely Egyptian friends. lovely people. If you are here to dive and be outside I reallly recommed. For all nationalities. Some hostels are really racist against oriental people, and makes me very uncomfortable. Here we are all the same!! When I was there there was this very beautiful, young Egyptian lady as a volunteer. Full with live. We had her birthday, I got her a cake we had an amazing evening. However she and this other very lovely 19 years guest, got together and they were everywhere. It was like a house with children. It made me rwithout quiet space. But once again. That is something that was happening then. Nobody was being rude. Just two girls enjoying life.

The place is, as its name said, really quiet

That's a small hostel, where everyone knows each other and it makes it easy to make friends. Clean, well organized, curtains on beds, many areas to socialise. There is a cat and a dog, who live outside. The work space is basically in the living room, but I never had problems while working there, because people were not loud. Internet is typical for Dahab, 8-20mbps. AC works fine, you have a remote control in the room. The dorms are spacious.

Nice cosy hostel, open environment and very friendly staff. They helped me finding a kite teacher, arranged transport from and to the airport and provided great support when I broke my leg. Thanks Tranquilo🙏

Mo and Ziad (working in the hostel) were great hosts. They set a great atmosphere at Tranquilo. The breakfast is really good. The location is perfect (5 min walk from the beach - away from the noise).
