The grounds of the Villa could really be beautiful with a little TLC. We were there in October, some of the flowers needed to be removed, we missed the place twice as the ivy covered the sign, needed trimmed. We stayed in the family room. It was suppose to be living and dinning on first floor and bedroom upstairs, well there were two chairs which needed to be replaced or restuffed, they took everything else out and put two single cots in the living area. the pictures you see are old. They had not started the heat and it was cold, two space heaters took about 30 hours to get the space and the beds warm. The breakfast room in the morning had no heat so no one lingered over breakfast. I only saw one man the three days we were there, he was pleasant and tried to make our stay pleasant.

This is a lovely place with a lot of heart. The decor is charming—thoughtfully filled with antique touches that give the space real character. It felt cozy and homy, like staying at a well-loved countryside retreat rather than a generic hotel. The peace and quiet were an absolute dream, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Very calm, nice property in a lush garden, well-sized and -equipped rooms, nice common spaces. One feels very well there, just like in a villa! The price-performance ratio is very reasonable.

“Lovely unique place to stay”

The villa was very unique. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Lots of different things to look at in the villa. The pool wasn’t open for the time of year but think it would be a good place to stay in the summer and I think you need more than one night to appreciate it fully. Secure car parking was good. No bar but there were drinks available if you wanted them. Breakfast was okay.

This guesthouse was a very pleasant surprise on every level. Not only was it a five minute drive from where we needed to collect a car recently purchased, but it is also a refuge for all the senses. Beautifully and creatively decorated, exceptionally clean, and a very friendly and helpful staff. On no way was I disappointed, especially with the abundant and delicious breakfast!
