It is unique. The door key and balcony latches must be 100 years old. The hotel is like walking into the past. Security is excellent. Position .. there is no better.

“Amazing Service, Beautiful Building”

I loved my one night stay. The room was comfortable with a bathroom and kitchenette. The bed was comfortable, but didnt quite hit a 10 for me. The staff are above and beyond. I had luggage and a cat and they helped me up to my room. No complaints. I did, however, forget to tip the first fellow who helped me and I apologize. I was exhausted. The breakfast choices were great and I enjoyed perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, tea, toast, and a corn pancake. They held my luggage so I could do some errands and on my return I ordered an amazing margarita. Thank you.

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. The hotel’s appearance is nice and its location is central, which is a real advantage. Unfortunately, when a serious issue arose, no one took responsibility or ownership to resolve it. As soon as we entered the rooms, there was a strong chemical smell that made it impossible to stay. We immediately went back to reception to report it. We were told someone would come check within 30 minutes and that we should open the windows and doors. We went back to reception multiple times, asking for a solution. No alternative room was offered. We were told the receptionist could not make any decision without contacting the owner, who was unreachable. We tried to contact them in every possible way and were ignored. After reading other reviews, it is clear that this is not the first time guests have reported this chemical odour, which makes the lack of action even more concerning. Instead of taking responsibility, the hotel attempted to portray the situation as guest misconduct by a message to justify their position, which is inaccurate and unacceptable. We reported the issue immediately and waited for a solution that never came. Because we had a reservation we could not miss, we had to leave and pay for another hotel at the last minute, taking all the luggages with us. This was not a voluntary cancellation, yet the hotel refused a refund, despite the room being clearly uninhabitable and no solution being provided. I hope this honest review encourages you to improve your practices. Situations like this should never be handled this way.

Beautiful apartament right in the center of Cuenca with great view on the Cathedral, the room was very spacious and beds super comfy.

“It’s alright if you have a very deep sleep”

Extremely noisy, you can hear everything going on outside. We could hear the restaurant and also the street. There is a club next door and the rooms have no noise cancellation. Staff was very kind and good but I’m not sure about the noise until 2 am.
