“Disappointing experience of long time patrons”

This was our sixth stay at Delta, and it has long been one of our favorite resorts. Unfortunately, during this visit we noticed several changes that significantly affected our experience. The biggest issue is the integration of the neighboring property into the Delta offering. Guests staying there now have access to Delta’s pools and facilities, which has made the resort noticeably more crowded. One of Delta’s greatest strengths was its exclusivity and tranquility. We choose this hotel and are willing to pay premium rates not only for the rooms themselves, but also for the atmosphere, comfort, and overall experience that come with it. By combining facilities for two properties with different price points, that atmosphere inevitably changes. Another disappointment was the decline in food quality and service compared to our previous stays. We also noticed that there are now fewer shaded loungers around the pools. Combined with the increased number of guests, it has become difficult to find a comfortable shaded spot. Unfortunately, the overall experience no longer feels as comfortable and relaxing as it once did. As long as the current arrangement remains in place, we do not see ourselves returning.

The staff were super friendly, drinks were great and we loved the breakfast menu and the taco truck (really delicious). The pool in tower 6 was lovely and as was the tappenyaki restaurant. We came with a 7 month old and really appreciated the kindness of the staff. They also provided us with a cot for the baby and the room was a great size for a family of 3

The staff for childrens activities were very kind to my kids and we enjoyed the Japanese restaurant but found it weird the chef went back and forth from our table to another. The servers were attentive at all locations. But food was mediocre.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were friendly. The food truck was great (for meat eaters!) and the Teppanyaki restaurant was great. We loved the beach and beach club restaurant and all of the pools. We also had a massage at the spa which was very good.

Have not been to an all inclusive resort for many years. Pictures looked tranquil and was expecting something more relaxing. But music was very loud and piped everywhere, with only one area that was fairly quiet. It would be nice to have a quiet designated adults only area

Service staff was very nice, however the front desk was horribly inefficient. Had to ask multiple times for the same things (in English and Spanish) and the front staff would say things will be ready “soon” and we ended up waiting hours. Terrible experience waiting for everything except for the check out.

Lots of pools to choose from, so it doesn’t feel busy or overcrowded. A really beautiful natural setting with Iguanas everywhere. Buffet was delicious with great vegetarian options. Just a real family friendly setup with our toddler and definitely not a party scene.

Liz at the front desk was very helpful in dealing with a refund and cancellation. She was open and apologetic.

Many thanks to René and the whole staff for being so friendly and helpful during our stay. They were really wonderful. Really enjoyed the relaxed vibe, the different pool spaces, the beach property just 15 minutes from the main property etc.

We loved waking up on the mountainside. The location of the hotel is beautiful! For the price we paid the food was on par but could've been better. The guitar duo in the sports bar was great and we really enjoyed listening to them. If you're there on the weekend they have a taco truck which I think was the best food we had. The beach club has a better lunch than the hotel lunch restaurant. I'm not vegan but the vegan ceviche was very good! Being in the tree canopy is just beautiful. We liked the almost individual sized pools.
