“Our Normandy week 2026”

We did not know what to expect when we booked but we have to say it exceeded our expectations. The location of perfect especially if you want to be able to go to the coast and to the local towns. The rooms were great for us as a family and the hosts were fantastic. We could not recommend this place enough we loved our time there and didn't want to leave

We had a lovely stay at Les Chaufourniers, Florence and Dominique gave us a warm welcome with tips of where to visit, Breakfast was lovely and gave us a chance to meet other travellers from different nationalities. The room and property had a lot of character in the middle of the country side but close enough to the coast and the beautiful city of Bayeux.

A truly lovely place to stay. We only stayed for two nights in July, a pity in hindsight! Florence and Dominic are incredibly warm and down-to-earth hosts, always happy to offer help and share great tips for exploring the area. The room was cozy and thoughtfully decorated, the service excellent, and the location perfect for discovering the beauty of Normandy. We felt completely at home and would gladly stay again! We hope to see you again in the future!

A perfect chambre d'hôtes to visit the Normandy coast and Bayeux. Florence and Dominique were charming and full of good suggestions and great tips for dining and for visiting the area. Their place is a bit lost in the countryside which is both an advantage and disadvantage, of course. Their excellent taste in furnishing and superb breakfast made our last-minute stay a terrific last evening - returning to Paris from Brittany - a great discovery!

Idyllic location in the beautiful French countryside. Florence and Dominique were charming hosts who greeted us on arrival and made us feel very welcome immediately, Their property has two converted farmhouses set in a courtyard and surrounded by fields and orchards. Breakfast each day was superb and our hosts were very helpful with suggestions on restaurants and directions etc. We could not think of a more perfect stay and would highly recommend staying with Florence and Dominique.

The setting is very peaceful. The gardens are beautiful with seating for sunny days. The hotel itself is very pretty. The hosts, Florence and Dominic, are very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was very good, with local produce. Dominic’s marmalade was delicious. Definitely hope to stay again.

This is a beautiful place to stay near Bayeux. Florence and Dominique are excellent hosts and really make an effort to ensure that you enjoy your stay here. We enjoyed having breakfast around the table with the other guests. There is so much to do and see in the area. We had bikes with us and cycled to Bayeux and the beaches. We would definitely come back.
