“Restful and beautiful B&B”

We loved everything. Perfect location near the top of Cordes sur Ciel. Amazing views from our windows. The building is old and beautifully decorated. Our bed was huge and comfortable with very nice bed linens. Breakfast was perfect too. A big thank you to our lovely host, Muriel.

Muriel was friendly and helpful; and the house was very attractive and comfortable. A highlight was the underground passage to the garden opposite with a fabulous view of the valley. Breakfast was delicious.

“A gem with a fantastic host”

A wonderful place with a wonderful host. Muriel the host was lovely, nothing was too much trouble, she booked our restaurants and gave us ideas of where to visit during our stay. Our room was perfect, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, and we had it outside with views to die for. Location is fabulous as Cordes is very steep. Restaurants are good but be aware of opening and closing as many were closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. All in all a wonderful stay. Take a drive into Albi, well worth a visit too. Thank you Muriel for being a great host!

We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. Muriel is a perfect host. The breakfast was excellent - great start to the day. The room had everything we needed (and more). Beautiful view from our room.

The place has loads of character and charm with easy parking and a short walk to all the village attractions. But Its' greatest asset is Muriel who was the best host we have met in our forty years of visiting France. She went out of her way to help and advise us and was exceptional in every way. She treated us so well we didn't want to leave!

“Wonderful experience in a very nice medieval village. Will use this place again and again and again”

We liked everything from the moment we arrived . We arrived earlier that the check in hour but the host accommodated us immediately and let us get into the room 4 hours earlier. The stay at this location was well above expectations and is the only place where benefits are worth more than you paid for. A 10+ for everything and a big thank you to the host .

The accommodation was beautiful, with a picturesque garden. The breakfast was great, and the host is very nice and helpful!

“Absolutely fantastic”

We loved everything about this property, probably the best guesthouse we have ever stayed out, beautifully laid out and decorated apartment which was absolutely spotless. The Room was very spacious with a huge bed, lovely linen, very nice size bathroom with all the amenities you could want. Their was a kettle, coffee machine with both tea and coffee available, the view outer the valley from our room was beautiful. Breakfast was on the terrace which was reached by a tunnel under the road attached to the house, breakfast was typically French and beautifully laid out. We received a very warm welcome from our host Muriel and would highly recommend staying at her property it is a 6 Star 10 out of ten.

Muriel was a fantastic host giving advice and very knowledgeable on the area, restaurants, activities. Provided a great breakfast. The property is in a great location and ideal for touring the area. We really hope to return. Thank you Muriel

Forget 5-Star luxury, mass-hotels. Real hospitality excellence is the product of small-scale personal touch and attention to detail. Muriel and her Le Songe d'Atys prove how a perfect B&B should be. A few cozy rooms in a historic house, located in one of the most picturesque mountain villages in the South of France, an excellent host with the utmost personal attention to detail and, most importantly, a tremendous french breakfast that can be enjoyed viewing the stunning countryside. Our stay in Le Songe d'Atys felt like staying at a close friend rather than in a hotel. We can only recommend Le Songe d'Atys & Cordes-sur-Ciel. Thank you Muriel!

“A delightful gem”

What a delightful place, Muriel was friendly and spoke very good English which was for me fantastic as my French is poor. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast in the garden was lovely with great views oner the countryside and with her home baked pastries even more fantastic!
