Situated in the heart of the medieval city of Cordes-sur-Ciel and set in a property built in the 13th century, La Maison Bakéa is an elegant guest house which offers a medieval architecture features, an inner courtyard, a terrace with views over the Valley, and rooms with a view of the landmarks. The 4 rooms at La Maison Bakéa are set on a patio and decorated in a medieval style and feature a private entrance, exposed beams and stone walls. Some offer a view of the valley and free Wi-Fi access, while others have air-conditioning. They all feature a courtesy tray. A continental breakfast is available every morning and is served in the dining room which features a large, original fireplace. At an extra cost and upon prior reservation, guests can enjoy evening meals on the terrace or in the living room. It is a wonderful place to stay. Catherine is very helpful. On Sunday there was no bus to Albi or Toulouse and she kindly gave me a ride to the train station where I could take the train to Toulouse.

“Fantastic, beautiful hotel with great service and excellent location.”
The hotel was beautiful, clean, and full of character. My room was wonderful, with crisp organic cotton sheets and a warm duvet, a kettle in the room and everything you could want for a comfortable stay. The manager was incredibly kind and helpful and told me lots about the history of this amazing town. The hotel is very convenient for walking through the town. The breakfast was sumptuous and delicious. The lounge and terrace were comfortable and had great views. Could not recommend this highly enough.

If you want enjoy night in castle from 14 century you can. It is really nice feeling to stay some nights and enjoy historical places. Owner was very friendly and open to speak about the city and building.

We have had a lovely stay at La Maison Bakea. Cordes-sur-Ciel is a wonderful town and our stay in Maison Bakea was by far the best stay on our holiday. The house is beautiful and wonderfully decorated. Our host, Catherine, made sure we got all the information about the town, booked a lovely restaurant and made the best breakfast with a wonderful view. Would definitely recommend La Maison Bakea!

“Wonderful, we will be back.”
Maison Bakéa was perfect for us. We were shown round by Marie on arrival and told about the houses’ history. It is beautiful renovated and you feel you have travelled back in time just with all the modern day comforts. Breakfast on the terrace was wonderful and the stay exceeded our expectations. We walked to the medieval village for dinner which was a great experience. The house was exceptionally clean and we have nothing negative to say about our stay.

“Memorable”
This place is a time capsule. Our host was so gentle and nice it was a real pleasure to sleep one night here. Bedrooms and beds are so comfy. And how to not talk about all the furnitures and decorations. If you want to live in 15th and 16th century but with confort this place is for you. With a great quiet in bonus. The breakfast was also excellent with handmade products. The only regret we've had is just that we should spend more days and nights in this place.

Wow wow and WOW! Loved everything. Such a fantastic place. Marie gave us a tour, so enthusiastic. We couldn't believe our luck then upgraded! The rooms, furnishings, the view, the breakfast all laid out beautifully, homemade goods too. Only there one night but didn't want to leave. This one night MADE our road trip adventure! Want to go back to explore as the area was SO beautiful and quirky too! Thank you!!!!
