“TERRIBLE SLEEP”
PARKING WAS A PROBLEM ELECTRONIC CHECK IN WAS A PAIN, LONG WAIT AND A MESS ABOUT AS I HAD TO GO THROUGH THE PROCESS 4 TIMES AND THE LAST TWO DID NOT GET CODE EMAILS THROUGH THE ROOMS WERE HOT WITH NO AIRCON OR FANS THE PLACE WAS NOISEY/POLICE THROUGH THE NIGHT CHANGING SHIFTS/DOORS BANGING ENGINES RUNNING

“One night stop as solo motorcycle driver to get onto the Eurotunnel”
PARKING: open air huge parking lot shared among also other hotels and these buildings keep it separated from the main road. Few security cameras, lots of cars and also coaches, but the spots directly next to the hotel were available, so no long walk from it to the reception desk. CHECK-IN: city tax to pay on the spot, which in my case was 1€ and you are set. STAFF: not many of them around, the one I met spoke also English. WIFI/VPN: worked. SIZE: small, compact, minimal, but it serves the purpose of the night stop before taking the Eurotunnel. STYLE: minimalist, no guardarobe, no AC, no window I could blind without having to turn lights on, only dark curtains. Window you can open entirely. POWER WHEN YOU LEAVE: stays on. You are given an access code, no keys. QUIET: as long as you don't need to keep the window open to get fresh air, it is. LOCATION: it served the purpose of being 10 mins drive far from the Eurotunnel check-in. By itself, nothing particular. SERVICES AROUND: petrol station and a shopping mall you can walk. VALUE FOR THE MONEY: if you take out the floor cleanness and forgive the compact space, the price was good for the buffer night stop before crossing to UK. Considering the choice of nearby restaurants and services, very good indeed. RESTAURANT IN WALKING DISTANCE: yes, many. Nothing super fancy, more family and travellers related, but plenty of choice.
