“Dated, dismal and unpleasant”
Dated, dark , dismal. On arrival no one at reception for 15 minutes. Very dark corridor to get to room. Bathroom door was a folding door that didn’t work properly. Room was unpleasant and old fashioned in a 1980’s way. Restaurant next door was nice.

“Affordable friendly and well located for day trip to Paris”
Friendly affordable accommodation very close to the railway station, just across the bridge from the town centre. Very convenient for a day trip to Paris should accommodation in Paris be too expensive.

Old, charming, quintessentially French hotel with views over the river Oise opposite and a five minute walk across the bridge into town. The owners, receptionists and housekeepers are all lovely, friendly and welcoming. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Compiegne.

The receptionist was amazing! He helped me get a reliable taxi transfer from Compiegne to CDG airport on short notice, which I really appreciated. I liked the hotel's style; the rooms were very spacious.
