“Charming and responsive host, but beware proximity to a busy road and the associated noise level.”
True to the reviews, Gustavo was a responsive and charming host. Booking.com did not alert us that my credit card would not be automatiically billed as agreed a the time of booking and as is done in all other countries I have visited, which is many. Gustavo explained the situation and said no problem, we could pay cash. However, that was not possible. Gustavo was able to arrange payment by credit card upon arrival, which cost us an extra 5% but as we were already on the long drive from El Valle de Anton to Guanche, finding a cash machine would have been difficult and time consuming. Bravo to Gustavo for understanding our situation and allowing us to pay upon arrival, despite the lack of information from Booking.com.
