“The perfect place in Colle”

We live in Colle and have booked a lot of appartments for our family. This was by far the best: it is big, beautiful, and has an amazing porch you will never forget. It also has a football table for the kids, a small "gym", and a wonderful location. The owner is a great and friendly person, exactly what you need when you are away from home.

The apartment was incredible. So many rooms and corridors. I couldn't find the exit to the parking area initially and had to ask our hosts how to get out! Children would love it - endless opportunities to play'hide and seek'! Lovely large terrace was a bonus, together with the on-site parking. The village is really interesting and had all the facilities we needed. Incredible bakery within 50 metres and many restaurants. Our hosts gave us recommendations and also a suggested an itinerary for a wine and oil tasting tour, which we followed. We are already thinking about how we can incorporate a return visit in our holiday next year.

“Tuscany Base that Exceeded Expectations”

Even though we, and none of our friends, had ever heard of Colle di Val d'Elsa, we chose to base our June Tuscan holiday there because it offers bus links to many places (Florence, Siena, Volterra, and San Gimignano) so a car isn't vital, and because the old town is on a hilltop with good views and cooler than the Florence plain. All of which were true, but we found that the small city itself has a lot of character, a long history, a beautiful walk along the river, some great restaurants, its lead crystal glass industry, and good walks in typical Tuscan scenery (e.g. the well-signposted Francigena way). Casa Anna in the old part of town is a standout property in which to stay - even the bathroom has a view! The historic family house is sympathetically and lovingly restored, and well maintained - it has high ceilings to offset the summer heat, and is well stocked with everything we needed. The terrace is just Wow - we made great use of it. The hosts and owners, Alessandro and Liliana, are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. They were in contact often to make sure we enjoyed our stay, and to provide advice on things to do in the area. It was spacious for just the two of us, but with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, it would be good accommodation for larger groups too.

Hosts were very friendly, helpful and responsive. We joyed the apartment itself, it is very spacious provides a great experience! I enjoyed that a lot of furniture in the house suites the interior of an old house. Totally recommend it, especially for people that like historic places!

“The best kept secret in Tuscany!”

The house is very spacious, beautiful, and full of character.. It has a wonderful terrace with one of the best views in Tuscany. It even has private parking. We found it spotlessly clean. The hosts, Liliana and Alessandro, are extremely welcoming and helpful. They will provide you with lots of advice on things to do in the area.. it's obvious they take great care of making their guests happy. The location is very convenient, as it is about 30 minutes away from Sienna, Volterra, and San Gimignano.

Stately accommodation with so much Character in the old city. of Colle De Val D”Elsa Wonderful and friendly hosts who went out of their way to make us all feel so welcome.

A fantastically located apartment with everything you'd want for a Tuscan holiday. Located within the historic Colle di Val d'Elsa many places of interest are within easy reach. Spacious and well equipped it is an excellent place to stay with loads of good restaurants nearby including a local pasticceria with delicious coffee and cakes. The owners could not have been more helpful making it a fell like a home from home .With a large terrace what more would you want than to relax after a day of sightseeing with a glass of wine and beautiful view.

An absolutely charming, spacious and comfortable house in the historic center of Colle di Val d‘Elsa. We brought our dog, the house, the area and the owners are very pet friendly. Alesandro and Liliana are very kind and generous hosts who provided us with plenty of great suggestions. They are easy to communicate with, easily available and always very helpful.
