I have written many of these reviews over the years, and I honestly will say that this place is the best have ever say that through booking.com. The place is immaculate and Claudia and Lorenzo are a fantastic host and really made us feel as if we were in their home and friends of their family. The work they have done to restore the mill is all inspiring, and you can really see their commitment to this project and the love that they have put into it as you talk about it with them. For me, the reason this went well above normal care from a host is that we had had an issue with our car rental and so unexpectedly showed up without a car to this area. Claudia helped to arrange a taxi for us (which can be difficult defined in Colico) And then went above and beyond to help us get out to purchase groceries in her own car as well as to drive us to catch boats and pick us up to bring us back to her place. We were travelling with a 94-year-old lady and our time could have easily gone very sideways, but Claudia single-handedly not only save her trip, but made it into an incredibly memorable one.

It is a pure gem between lake and mountains. From the garden your eyes can relax and inside the apartment - the body. Very well equipped, comfy bed and pillows. Everything that you need in the kitchen. Apartment design catching the eye - modern and natural. Worth visiting again and again.

We stayed at Molino Maufet and absolutely loved it. The apartment was very cozy and comfortable, with everything we needed. The host, Claudia, was incredibly kind and welcoming — she explained everything in detail and even allowed us to check in earlier than planned. The space was warm and inviting, and when we were leaving, we were given a short tour of the mill, which was a lovely surprise — we didn’t even know there was a small museum, so it was really interesting. I will definitely recommend this place to all my friends!

“We’ll come back as soon as possible”

Claudia und Lorenzo have built such a beautiful, family friendly place. We and our kids loved it from the very first minute. The huge garden with the the view is spectacular. The hosts and their kids so nice. The apartments beautiful restored.

“Five Star Experience”

Claudia and Lorrenzo were so welcoming, we felt right at home. The accommodation was spotless and very styleful. It is self catering but we preferred eating out at a local restaurant, which Claudia recommended within walking distance. The best pizza and steak we have had and that says a lot as we are South Africans raised on the best steak in the world. On arrival we ordered local wine and beer, which Claudia brought to our apartment. Delicious wine and beer! The showers are powerful and relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. If you travel by train, just let Claudia know and she wilp pick you up from the station as taxi's is a bit hard to catch if you are from a foreign country. The locals were all super friendly and helpful and if they could not speak English, we managed in German. All round a five star experience with a warm personal touch! We dont often visit the same place twice, but for this diamond find, we will be returning soon! Well done Claudia and Lorrenzo!

“We enjoyed everything about our stay”

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The apartment exceeded our expectations - it was superb. We had a lovely patio and access to a beautiful garden. Our hosts were excellent - very friendly and helpful. We would recommend it to anyone.

“A fantastic stay in a luxurious apartment in the nice and not too busy Colico area”

The apartment fulfilled and at some points even exceeded our expectations: A very quiet airco in the bedroom, very good wifi (also outside on the terrace & garden), nice kitchen, spacious (it is a 2 person apartment but there is plenty of room), overall a luxerious atmosphere. Our hosts, Claudia and Lorenzo, are doing a very great job here. They make you feel welcome (when handing over the keys to us I recall Claudia saying "welcome to your home") and their passion for this property (which they completely rebuilt more or less from scratch) shows in every detail. Whenever we wil revisit the Lago di Como area, this property will be on the top of our list. Claudia and Lorenzo, thank you very much for having us stay in La Volta. Hope to meet you again.

Superb stay and a little gem. From communication to facilities everything was just as it should be. The garden is a nice place to spend time after trips or even during showers for children and adults.
