“Quiet place to stay in Colico”

Generous and helpful host, no English but message came across with enthusiasm. Clean rooms, good Breakfast, separate dining lounge area

The room were Nice and the House was very Clean! Even tho communication was a little hard in the beginning, she teached us some Basic italian and we could speak :) She was Just wunderfull and gave great Tips and provided everything we asked for. She Made us feel Like Home

Quiet location with a great view of the mountains and the lake Como… Lucia is a wonderful host, with so many recommendations and options for things to do and places to visit/eat. Breakfast is self-serve so gives complete flexibility. Super clean, and comfortable, spacious room and bathroom

“Beautiful memories”

We loved our stay at Al Molin. Ileana is a wonderful hostess, so helpful and she gave us a lot of useful information regarding lake Como which we much appreciated. The view from the balcony was stunning. The communal kitchen an lounge was lovely and we made full use of the facilities. All the rooms were spotlessly clean and neat. Ileana also shared with us the history of the old farmhouse and Colico which was so interesting. I highly recommend staying there.

From the moment we arrived we knew we had chosen the best location and accommodation for us. The warmth of welcome from our host and her kind friend was very genuine and sincere. A lovely sociable lady owns this amazing traditional farmhouse with its many original features. It is an easy walk down to the lake and a lovely level walk to Colico and its many cafes, restaurants and attractions including ferry across Lake Como. Great walks too up into the hills and mountains. We will definitely return to Al Molin.

“Traditional homestay with amazing views”

Very chatty and welcoming hostess (Italian speaking - sorry that our Italian was pretty non existent) who gave advice on what to visit, told us interesting information on this family property and it's history, and sweet leaving gift. Room and bathroom were very clean. The house and the room are traditionally furnished which is very charming (some beautiful pieces of furniture like chest of drawers) and there is a shared lounge, with TV, coffee machine and microwave and tables for you to use with other guests (not kitchen). Self service breakfast was provided (sliced bread and crackers, cheese, ham, tomatoes, yoghurt, juice, butter, packaged croissants). Guest accommodation is top floor so be aware if you have mobility issues. Our room had a balcony with fab views of the mountain and lake. Wardrobe, upright chairs, chest of drawers also available in the room. Towels and soap provided. There is a small beach 10 minutes walk away down the hill which was nice and has a beach bar which does very nice pizzas. Also a coffee bar 5 minutes away and two restaurants between the house and the beach. Colico town centre itself is maybe 25 minutes walk on foot away. Note that the very center is in one of the ZTL (traffic controlled zones) areas so be careful to not accidentally drive into that area, you will be fined. Better to walk anyway.

“Loved it there!”

The room is located upstairs right under the roof. There is a common space and two tables to eat breakfast at. Irene got us everything that we needed. We were taken good care of!! We also loved our room which had a balcony from which we could see the mountains and the lake. The room itself was very clean. The location was also great. It is super close to the Piona beach at lake Como. The beach was very nice. We had a fantastic time :)

They were so cute and attentive. We didn’t understand each other much, but everything was clear. The lady is very neat and the house is amazing. We had a very nice stay. Good rest in such a beautiful place, pleasant weather, breakfast with a view and also near the beach where the atmosphere at the evening was incredible. It’s not hard to get to other places in Lago di Como, like Varenna. We got there by car and then went to Menaggio and Bellagio by ferry. Also the train station is not far from the house. We felt very welcome, especially with the gifts from the lady at the end. Would absolutely recommend.

Beautifully kept traditional house, spotlessly clean and with very friendly knowledgeable host who’s family has lived in the village for generations. Only 10 minutes walk from beautiful lakeside beach with nice bar, food and kayak hire. 5 mins drive will take you into centre of the small and pleasant town of Colico, with shops, restaurant and local ferry station. The beautiful town of Varena is only 20 mins by car. Amazing views all around the accommodations balconies of mountains and lakes.
